Kailen stared back at the creature. It was a Rank 1 novice-stage beast. However, it could not be underestimated. It had just killed several Rank 1 novice-stage transcendents, after all. Kailen himself would have died had he not escaped the sonic boom attack of the creature in time.
The creature leaped into the air with a jump that left trails behind it. It hollered in the air and launched another sonic boom towards different directions. Where Kailen was standing was also included in the attack.
Kailen simply waved his hand. The void rippled and morphed. An extremely large ethereal katana appeared. The katana rippled with strong spatial fluctuations. Its edges seemed to meld and twist into the void. He stood still and calm, unbothered by the battles and the chaos surrounding him.
