The sound of the scissors echoed in the bathroom.
I watched the blonde strands fall into the sink. I wasn't shaving my head, just thinning it out, leaving the hair short enough not to fall into my eyes during combat, but long enough for Jun-ho to pull when we were alone.
I lowered the scissors for a moment and stared at my reflection in the mirror.
I was shirtless. The steam from my recent shower had already vanished, revealing pale skin marked by yellowish bruises from training and... other, more recent marks. Purplish and reddish spots trailed down the side of my neck to my collarbone—the "receipts" of the punishment.
I ran my thumb over one of the marks on my shoulder, a small, almost imperceptible smile forming at the corner of my lips.
It was crazy to think about the time.
Today marked exactly one year and six months.
