After the notice "ZAGE - Smash Bros," Zaboru appeared on the screen, smiling confidently as he greeted the audience. "Yo, everyone! How's your day? I hope you're all having a great one!" He paused slightly, letting the energy settle before continuing with a playful tone. "So… why am I showing up here personally? Well, it's simple. This time, I've got something big—something really big—to tell you all. Hehehe." His expression carried a mix of excitement and confidence, as if he already knew the reaction this announcement would bring.
Zaboru began to walk across the screen, his presence calm. Behind him, the background slowly shifted, the visuals transitioning into the bold text: 1991. He glanced back slightly before smiling.
"ZAGE has been creating great IPs since 1991. And now… it's already been nine years since we started working our magic—bringing countless characters and worlds to life."
His tone carried a quiet pride, but also honesty.
"Yeah, I know… some IPs were left behind, some didn't shine as much, while others continued to grow and become even more popular. But all of them—every single one—are part of who we are. That… is our identity."
As he spoke, the visuals behind him began to shift rapidly, showcasing a wide range of ZAGE's rich IPs. Scenes from Final Fantasy appeared, followed by Pokémon, then Street Fighter, Metroid, Mega Man, Pac-Man, Super Mario Bros, and many more.
Each title flashed across the screen with brief but impactful moments—iconic characters, battles, adventures—reminding viewers of the legacy ZAGE had built over the years.
Zaboru's smile remained, steady and confident, as if he was presenting not just games, but a history that connected all of them together.
Meanwhile, the chat became even more lively, messages flooding in rapidly: "This is going to be nuts!" "Something big is coming!" "I wonder what it is?" The excitement was unmistakable, as anticipation continued to build among the viewers.
Then the image behind him changed once again, this time clearly displaying the words "Smash Bros." Zaboru smiled, his expression carrying a hint of excitement as he faced the audience.
"And you might be wondering… what exactly is Smash Bros?" he said, pausing briefly to let the question sink in. "Well, Smash Bros is a game that brings together our IPs in a way we've never done before."
He took a small step forward, his tone becoming slightly more engaging.
"It's not just about one world, or one story. It's about all of them—colliding, interacting, and creating something entirely new."
Zaboru's smile widened slightly.
"So… instead of just explaining it," he added, "let me show you."
He gestured lightly toward the screen behind him.
"For the details… here it is. Enjoy."
Then Zaboru stepped out of the frame, and the screen transitioned smoothly into a cinematic 3D sequence. The tone shifted immediately, becoming more dramatic and immersive. A deep narrator's voice echoed as the scene opened.
"ZAGE Worlds… there are many of them…"
The visuals began to unfold—vast landscapes, colorful environments, and glimpses of different worlds blending into one another.
"Heroes… villains… countless stories across vibrant worlds…"
The camera moved fluidly between scenes, showcasing the diversity of ZAGE's universes, each filled with its own identity and atmosphere.
"But among all of these worlds… there is one existence that appears in every single one…"
The screen darkened slightly, building anticipation.
"Zabo-man."
Suddenly, the scene shifted, revealing multiple Zabo-man running across different environments and worlds, each one reflecting a unique setting and tone. Some appeared in vast futuristic cities, others in ancient landscapes, and some within vibrant fantasy realms, creating a sense that they truly existed everywhere.
Some were human-sized, wearing black coats along with their signature Z-Helmet and glowing blue visors, moving with a calm yet purposeful presence. Others appeared in chibi form—smaller, more expressive, and almost playful—bringing a lighter and more humorous tone to the visuals. There were also humanoid animal versions, each equipped with Z-armor and their own variation of the iconic helmet, coming in different species, sizes, and styles. Some moved with agility like beasts, while others had mechanical limbs, clearly robotic in nature, adding even more diversity to their existence.
The scene continued to expand, showing more variations—some Zabo-man looked like warriors, others like explorers, and some even like ordinary citizens living their daily lives. Despite their differences, they all shared the same core identity, connected by the symbol of the Z.
The sheer variety made it clear—Zabo-man was not just one character, but a presence that existed across every world in countless forms, adapting and evolving within each reality.
Then the narrator continued, his voice steady but carrying a subtle shift in tone. "Zabo-man exists in all ZAGE worlds as different beings. They are often casual, cool, and lovable, living as part of a larger society known as the Z-Society. For the most part, they value peace and coexistence… until one Zabo-man appeared."
The screen shifted dramatically, the atmosphere growing heavier as the visuals changed. A towering figure emerged—this Zabo-man was massive, nearly twice the size of a normal human. His presence alone felt overwhelming.
He wore dark, imposing armor resembling that of an emperor, layered with intricate details that gave him a regal yet intimidating aura. Over his head rested a black Z-helmet, its blue visor glowing sharply, giving off an almost cold and calculating presence.
Flowing behind him were regal coats, moving slightly as if responding to an unseen force, enhancing his commanding appearance. Every detail of his design emphasized authority, power, and dominance.
Unlike the others, this Zabo-man did not feel ordinary.
He felt like a ruler.
The narrator continued, his voice growing heavier with intensity. "This Zabo-man calls himself… Super Z. He is strong—far too strong—and dangerously ambitious. He despises the existence of weaker versions of himself across the world. To him, they are flaws… imperfections that should not exist."
The screen darkened slightly as the tone shifted further.
"So he began to gather them… not the weak—but the ones like him. The twisted, the corrupted, the powerful."
The visuals exploded into motion.
Multiple Zabo-man appeared, but these were different—distorted, darker, more aggressive. Some were zombie-like, their movements unnatural and unsettling. Others had four arms like an asura, each limb wielding weapons or moving with unnatural coordination. Some looked monstrous, others mechanical, and a few carried an aura that felt almost demonic.
Each one stood out, yet they all shared a common trait—power.
They weren't ordinary Zabo-man anymore.
They were something else entirely.
"And they answered his call," the narrator finished.
The screen filled with them—dozens, then hundreds—standing together as a growing force, each one radiating strength, menace, and purpose.
Then the screen shifted again, revealing the Evil Zabo-man standing together as a unified force. Their presence filled the scene, forming a dark and overwhelming army that stretched across the horizon. Each of them carried a different appearance, yet they all shared the same intimidating aura, their glowing visors piercing through the darkness.
The narrator's voice echoed once more, deeper and more ominous, carrying a heavier weight than before. "Their hunger for power twisted them… their once-friendly blue visors now burn red."
As those words echoed, the screen visually responded—one by one, the Evil Zabo-man's visors shifted from calm blue into a sharp, glowing crimson. The transformation spread across the army like a signal, each change reinforcing their descent into something more ruthless.
"And they take pride in it," the narrator continued, his tone cold and deliberate. "They embrace that power… and the path it leads them down."
The scene widened, revealing their unified formation once more, now even more intimidating under the red glow.
"And so, they formed an organization… known as the Z-Empire."
The visuals intensified, showing their formation—rows upon rows of powerful Zabo-man standing in perfect order, as if part of a single will.
"Their goal… is simple."
The camera slowly moved forward, focusing on their leader at the center.
"To conquer every world… and eliminate all weak Zabo-man."
The atmosphere grew heavier, the scale of their ambition becoming clear. Driven by power, control, and a ruthless vision of perfection.
Then the screen shifted, contrasting sharply with the previous dark army. Smaller Chibi Zabo-man appeared, along with a Zabo-man wielding a katana, standing in a more grounded and hopeful tone. Around them were many other Zabo-man—some looked strong and righteous, standing tall with determination, while others were smaller and less confident, and a few even trembled in fear, clearly overwhelmed by the looming threat.
Despite their differences, they stood together.
The narrator continued, his voice now carrying a sense of resistance and rising hope. "But not all Zabo-man agree with Super Z's plan. Many oppose him—many refuse to follow that path."
The scene expanded, showing more of them gathering, slowly forming unity.
"And so… a resistance was born."
The visuals sharpened as their formation became clearer.
"It is called… the Z-Resistance."
The tone grew stronger, more determined.
"And now, the Z-Resistance seeks help… from heroes across the ZAGE worlds."
Then the screen shifted again, this time showing smaller Zabo-man traveling across various ZAGE worlds, reaching out to different heroes. The tone became more dynamic and even slightly humorous, contrasting the heavy tension from before.
Some of them were seen delivering letters to Doom Guy, cautiously approaching him while he silently stared back, creating an oddly tense yet comedic moment. Others approached Mario, talking to him energetically as he listened with curiosity, nodding as if already understanding the situation.
In another scene, a one of Zabo-man performed exaggerated dogeza in front of Ryu, bowing deeply in desperation while Ryu stood there, clearly troubled and unsure how to react. The contrast between their dramatic pleading and Ryu's calm confusion added a light comedic touch.
There were also versions of them visiting Cloud from Final Fantasy VII, engaging in a more serious conversation, as Cloud listened quietly, his expression thoughtful. Meanwhile, some Zabo-man approached Samus Aran, standing at a respectful distance as if aware of her strength.
Elsewhere, a few met Alucard from Castlevania, the atmosphere becoming darker and more mysterious as they spoke. Others were shown meeting Link in a forest, the setting calm and natural, as if asking for his aid in silence.
Some even visited Kazuya Mishima, standing face to face with him in a tense moment, where neither side seemed willing to move first. At the same time, in a much lighter contrast, a Zabo-man could be seen happily playing with Kirby, rolling around and laughing, completely breaking the tension.
Some were even shown writing carefully composed letters to Agent 47, placing them neatly as if hoping he would read and accept their request in his own quiet way. Meanwhile, another Zabo-man was seen visiting Chris Redfield, trying to explain the situation with urgency, while Chris listened with a serious expression, already sensing the scale of the threat.
In another moment, a Zabo-man encountered RoboCop, standing almost stiffly as if unsure how to approach him, while RoboCop remained completely still, scanning and processing the situation with mechanical precision. The contrast between their behaviors created a strange but fitting interaction.
Then, in a much more energetic and chaotic scene, several Zabo-man approached Donkey Kong, enthusiastically trying to ask for help. Donkey Kong responded in his own way—loud, expressive, and slightly confused—while the Zabo-man struggled to keep up with his reactions, turning the moment into something unexpectedly comedic.
Then the Zabo-man reached out for help from even more heroes across the ZAGE worlds—approaching Spawn with cautious determination, seeking out Mega Man with a sense of familiarity, and even contacting Z-man, along with many others whose presence could turn the tide of the coming conflict.
Each interaction carried its own tone—some serious, some awkward, and some outright humorous—showing just how differently each hero responded to the same request.
Then the screen shifted once more, the tone rising with energy as bold text appeared across the screen.
"Now, the heroes will stand alongside the righteous Zabo-man of the Z-Resistance… to fight against the Z-Empire!"
The narrator's voice grew louder, more intense, carrying a sense of urgency and scale.
"But before they can unite against a common enemy… they must first settle their differences."
The screen began flashing glimpses of heroes facing each other, tension building between them.
"Clashing ideals… rivalries… and strength against strength…"
The music swelled.
"And all of it… happens in Smash Bros!"
Then the screen shifted, first showcasing "Mario" before transitioning into the actual gameplay. The perspective changed into a 2D arena fighter, where Mario faced off against Sonic in a fast-paced battle. The movement was fluid, with both characters jumping, dashing, and attacking across the stage in a dynamic exchange that immediately highlighted the game's core mechanics.
The narrator continued, explaining the system clearly as the fight played out. "In Smash Bros, there are no traditional health bars. Instead, the goal is to knock your opponent out of the arena. The more damage you deal, the further your opponent will be launched when hit."
As the gameplay intensified, Mario landed a clean hit, sending Sonic flying across the screen, only for Sonic to recover mid-air and rush back into the fight. The back-and-forth action made it clear—this wasn't just about reducing health, but about positioning, timing, and momentum.
Each hit visibly increased the tension, as the characters were launched further and further with every exchange, emphasizing how quickly the tide of battle could shift.
Then the screen shifted again, this time focusing on another character—Sonic. The pace immediately picked up as Sonic dashed across the stage with incredible speed, overwhelming Mario with rapid attacks before finally landing a decisive blow that sent him flying off the arena. The narrator continued with excitement, "Play with many characters from the ZAGE worlds!" emphasizing the variety and scale of the roster.
The gameplay didn't stop there. The scene quickly transitioned to Mega Man, showcasing his combat style. He fired projectiles with precision, using a mix of ranged attacks and quick movements to control space on the battlefield. His playstyle felt distinct, more tactical compared to the fast-paced aggression of Sonic.
Then the screen shifted again, this time revealing Pikachu. The tone became more energetic and unpredictable as Pikachu darted around the stage, using electric attacks that stunned and disrupted opponents. Sparks flew across the screen, and the chaotic movement added a sense of excitement and unpredictability to the fight.
After Pikachu, the spotlight moved to Pac-Man. The gameplay highlighted a more creative and unconventional fighting style, with Pac-Man using unique moves and objects that made his approach stand out. His animations were lively, blending humor with effectiveness.
Each character felt different, not just visually, but in how they played—reinforcing the idea that Smash Bros was built around variety, creativity, and dynamic combat across its entire roster.
Then the narrator continued, his voice rising with excitement. "And many more…"
The screen rapidly filled with silhouettes—one after another, appearing in quick succession. Each shadow hinted at a different character, different shape, different style. The pace kept increasing, silhouettes stacking endlessly, building anticipation with every reveal.
The audience could barely keep up.
Familiar outlines, unexpected figures, and completely new forms flashed across the screen, creating a sense of overwhelming scale. The number kept growing… ten, twenty, fifty—until finally, it reached one hundred total characters.
The narrator spoke again, now with a powerful and confident tone.
"100 heroes are playable!"
The number lingered on the screen, emphasized with impact.
"And we will reveal five characters at a time… leading up to the official release date. So stay tuned."
The music swelled once more, carrying the momentum forward.
"And now… help the ZAGE world—by defeating the Z-Empire!"
The screen transitioned into a final cinematic shot, showing glimpses of heroes standing together, ready for battle.
Then—the release date appeared.
Bold. Clear. Final.
The moment it was shown, the trailer came to an end.
And instantly, the audience in chat exploded with excitement.
