From the next room, Faria covered her ears with both hands.
She could still hear faint, muffled sounds through the wall, Ellyn's voice, soft and flustered.
"Hazuki~ d-don't be too rough!"
Faria's face turned slightly red.
How in the world does a human even… with a catgirl that small? she thought, sighing quietly to herself.
Deciding not to think too deeply about it, she stood up and stepped outside.
The knights were still gathered around the campfire, chatting softly. When Faria appeared, everyone immediately stood up straight.
"Miss Faria," one of them said, and the rest began to salute.
She raised a hand quickly. "Don't. We don't want Mister Hazuki getting suspicious. He still doesn't know about Princess Ellyna's real identity, and the princess herself commanded that we keep it that way for now."
"Yes, Miss Faria," they answered in unison.
"Did Hurka already head out with the fastest horse to the kingdom border?" Faria asked, folding her arms.
