Chapter 5 - chapter 5;The Sovereign Metamorphosis

I. The Gravity of the Sovereign

The space within the Floating Maw did not merely bend; it shattered.

As Null Asura stood before the five-headed Draconic Emperor, the iridescent white-and-green celestial stone the Star-Anchor vibrated with a frequency that systematically rewrote the physical laws of the throne room. Gravity dissolved into a chaotic, swirling vortex. Massive chunks of green obsidian and shattered jade pillars rose from the floor, orbiting the stone like broken moons. Up, down, left, and right ceased to exist.

"You speak of balance, traveler," the central head of Bahamut-Gorgoroth rumbled, its voice carrying the crushing pressure of a thousand-year reign. "But you are a fragile, hollow vessel. This leaf belongs to the dragons!"

The Emperor did not test his opponent. All five heads reared back simultaneously, their throats glowing with distinct, blinding hues of Primal Mana. In a fraction of a second, they unleashed a synchronized, multi-conceptual breath attack.

It was a literal torrent of absolute destruction. The Head of Decay spewed a black mist of decomposition; the Head of Corrosive Acid unleashed a burning, emerald flood; the Head of Spatial Compression warped the literal distance between them to instantly deliver the strike; the Head of Kinetic Redirection shielded the blast from any counter; and the Head of Soul-Burn fired a silent, pale-blue flame meant to incinerate the target's spiritual core.

The combined force tore the fabric of space itself. Null's standard human vessel—even boosted by his current Void-pumped core—began to crack under the sheer, localized conceptual collapse.

"Warning," the Void Master's crystalline ticker-tape flashed violently inside his mind. "Structural density of the current vessel is insufficient to withstand the environmental pressure. Total physical collapse projected in 4.2 seconds. Accessing deeper archives... Blueprint found: 'Fang' (Humanoid Form). Initiation of physical evolution recommended."

Null didn't hesitate. He didn't feel fear or desperation; he simply processed the data. He reached deep into the core of his stone, unlocking the dormant, draconic genetic code of Fang that had been stored within his soul.

II. The Draconic Blueprint

The metamorphosis was violent, silent, and instantaneous.

Sleek, obsidian-black dragon scales erupted from beneath Null's skin, rippling up his neck, across his broad shoulders, and framing his sharp jawline like interlocking sheets of dark diamond. A powerful, armored reptilian tail tore through his long black coat, snapping behind him to perfectly anchor his center of gravity against the Emperor's spatial manipulation.

The sheer, explosive pressure of the draconic transformation blew his white blindfold clean off, letting the fabric drift away into the swirling green vortex.

For the first time in RE:KILL THE KING, Null's face was fully revealed.

His eyes were no longer blank. The cloud-white, pupilless irises had shifted. A sharp, distinct black cross snapped into the center of each white iris, locking into place like the targeting reticle of a god. It was the mark of a True Sovereign cold, absolute, and completely detached.

Null reached his right hand toward the swirling dark pool of his left side. He didn't pull out a simple blade of energy. He reached into the very shadow-essence of Umbros and pulled.

With a heavy, echoing rasp, he drew the Dark Scythe. The weapon was massive, its curved, midnight-black blade forged from condensed death-energy, pulsing with faint, white-veined static along its edge.

Holding the scythe with his clawed, black-scaled hands, Null stood completely unbothered in the center of the gravity storm. The wind from the dragon's five heads howled against him, but he was no longer a human fighting a storm. He was the anchor.

III. The Reaper's Waltz

"Blasphemy!" the Emperor's heads roared in unison, sensing the terrifying shift in Null's physical mass.

Null did not reply. He utilized a high-density Flashwhip through his scaled boots, stepping directly on the gravity currents.

SONIC BOOM.

The air cracked as Null vanished, leaving a ring of black static where he had just stood. He reappeared instantly in the blind spot of the Head of Kinetic Redirection. The Emperor tried to shift the kinetic energy of Null's approach to fling him away, but Null simply spun the Dark Scythe in a flawless, circular arc.

The scythe's blade didn't just cut; it unwove the defensive concepts around the beast's neck.

CLEAVE.

With a clean, effortless slice, the first massive head was severed from the Emperor's body, disintegrating into grey stone before it even hit the floor.

The Emperor roared in agonizing psychic fury. The Head of Soul-Burn pivoted, unleashing its pale-blue spiritual fire directly onto Null's face at point-blank range. The flame engulfed his head, but behind his white-and-black cross eyes, there was nothing to burn. The trading of his emotional core had left his soul completely blank, a sterile void immune to spiritual attack.

Null stared straight through the flames, his expression dead. He reversed his grip on the scythe and drove the heavy metal butt of the staff directly into the open throat of the Soul-Burn head.

IMPLODE.

A localized Void vortex detonated inside the dragon's throat, collapsing its neck inward until it shattered into a million pieces of non-existent matter.

Null moved like a shadow through the shattered gravity, a blur of black scales, silver-black scythe arcs, and white-cross eyes, systematically dismantling the ancient Emperor head by head with terrifying, robotic efficiency.

IV. The Harvest of the Anchor

With only three heads remaining, the Emperor realized the mathematical certainty of his own demise. He could not touch the sovereign; he could not burn what was already empty.

"If I am to fall, traveler," the central head hissed, its scales beginning to glow with a blinding, unstable emerald light as it began to overload its Sub-Prime core, "I will drag this entire leaf into the dark with me! Your balance ends in ash!"

"Your energy does not belong to you," Null spoke, his voice carrying the dual-layered, hollow echo of a stadium of dead souls. "It belongs to the ledger."

Before the Emperor could trigger the self-destruction, Null landed heavily on the dragon's main obsidian neck. He drove his clawed, black-scaled feet deep into the hide to anchor himself, raised the Dark Scythe high, and slammed the blade straight down into the dragon's chest cavity, right beside the Star-Anchor.

He didn't just kill the Emperor. He used the Dark Scythe as a literal conduit.

Black and white veins surged down the shaft, wrapping around the Emperor's central core. With a violent, twisting motion, Null began the process of Unweaving. He systematically drained the dragon's entire, ancient life force, filtering the raw primal energy and feeding it directly into the Star-Anchor.

The colossal body of Bahamut-Gorgoroth stiffened. The brilliant green light in his scales rapidly faded, calcifying into a dull, silent monument of gray stone before crumbling into fine dust that swept out into the high-altitude winds.

Null floated in the center of the ruins, his black scales slowly receding back into his skin, his draconic tail vanishing, though his black-cross white eyes remained sharp and focused.

The Star-Anchor now floated before him, completely synchronized, its green hue replaced by a blinding, pure white-and-black silver radiance.

"Star-Anchor fully charged," the Void Master reported coldly. "Dimensional coordinates of the home universe locked. Preparing to breach the multiversal boundary in ten seconds."

V. The Seed of the Future

Null stood in the ruins of the Floating Maw. He looked down through the clouds toward the subterranean roots where Vira and the survivors were waiting, believing their savior would return to rule them.

For a brief, fleeting millisecond, the shadow of Soren Asura crossed his mind. He was emotionless, yes. He was a creature of absolute balance. But as he looked at the ruins of this withered world, he decided to perform one final, calculated act of kindness perhaps the last piece of Soren he would ever leave behind.

He did not step through the portal immediately.

Instead, Null walked over to a intact jade table. He reached into the void of his coat and pulled out a massive wooden crate, placing it gently on the stone. Inside, he deposited a fortune: close to one million units of high-grade universal currency he had accumulated, alongside a selection of advanced weapons, technological accessories, and structural blueprints from his home world.

On top of the crate, he left a single, handwritten note addressed to Vira:

> Replicate what is inside. Build the weapons. Fund the schools. Start the companies. You are no longer cattle. Protect yourselves.

It was a seed. The start of marketing, industry, and corporate evolution for a world that had known nothing but monsters. He wanted to do something nice, just this once, before he departed.

Null walked back to the Star-Anchor, placing his hand onto the cold, silver-and-black stone.

"Initiate warp," Null commanded.

The stone flared with a blinding, cosmic light, swallowing his figure in a pillar of spatial energy that tore through the clouds, heading straight for the boundary of the multiverse.

But as Null hurtled through the chaotic pathways of the sub-space channels, a sudden, violent tremor shook the dimensional stream. A strange, external anomaly began to warp his trajectory, pulling him far away from his locked home coordinates...
