The next few days passed by in a blur. They managed to isolate the system that they entered to obtain materials. After only a day of taking down defenses the liberation unit was alerted and Jace was treated to the show that was the liberation unit's counter invasion.
Suffice to say… It was underwhelming. Two warships, both of which looked hobbled together and more like massive transports rather than space crafts designed for war. They turned out to be old ships that were retrofitted in a rush to operate as part of the military's invasion unit.
They swarmed into the system and sent out plenty of troop transports, mechs, and fighter craft to the planets on the edge of the system. He only stayed long enough to see them fire off several nukes toward the main planet. Once he saw that he knew that dozens of thousands of innocent lives would be lost.
