"Here we go."
Lorenzo pulled Rosa's hand towards a bulk machine. The corners and edges were refined with metal plates attached to them.
All of a sudden, one of the plates starts to detach itself and makes a small staircase and an entry.
Kace was lying inside an empty room in the bulk machine.
Rosa's fury was calmed with worry after seeing her cousin tied to his seat. She breaks her grasp with Lorenzo and starts to dash towards Kace, only to be blocked by some invisible barrier.
Her head kissed the screen and responded with a 'tud' as she slid down.
"I forgot to mention", Lorenzo teleports beside her. "You have to first wear a restraining collar before you meet with him".
"A what?" Rosa's tone shone with annoyance as she rubbed her head.
Lorenzo tries to pick her up. "A restraining collar. It's going to block your powers for a certain amount of time, and only then can you hang out with your cousin over there."
"What the f_ you know what", Rosa glances at Kace and shifts towards Lorenzo, "I don't have time for this". Her eyes glowed red in an instant. "Get on with it".
Lorenzo pulls out a detached collar from his coat and carefully places it on Rosa's neck, locking it.
In the blink of a second, Rosa's red-shot eyes changed back to brown. Her body started to crumble until she was found on her knees.
Lorenzo carefully followed her and picked her up until her breathing started to become heavy.
"It's the collar", he says, "It weakens your syrium usage in the body and stops it from functioning further".
"Rosa". His voice now painted in sympathy, "Please don't fight this, it'll only make you weaker."
Rosa, who was beginning to shut her eyes slowly, only responded, "Sh-ut up. This is nothing compared to what I've been through."
"Sure, dear," Lorenzo pulls her by the shoulder and gently makes her sit down next to Kace. "Now look at that. Family back together again. I must say, you kids really pulled a stupid stunt earlier, not that I'm mad, but I would certainly love to add some changes."
Rosa and Kace exchanged glances as they knew what was about to come for them.
"What's with those faces? I have to tell you that it is essential for me to correct your mistakes."
"I'm sorry, but we don't need you to do that". Kace holds his head high and faces Lorenzo. "Have you ever considered that this situation wouldn't have occurred if you and your friend weren't so greedy?"
A hault feeling struck Lorenzo in the chest, even with all the time that had been passed, nothing could be forgotten.
"Ivan was right". Lorenzo gently pats Kace's head. "You kids haven't changed, and I'm glad."
"Wait wha-."
"ALRIGHT!" He claps his hand. "Who's ready for a lesson?"
"I don't think that's necessary." (Kace)
"Wh-a, w-e don't wa-." (Rosa)
"Okay, so first, Rosa, you need to work on your... _"
Lorenzo ignored their mercy and sang them a long lullaby until the cousins had had enough.
