The bed creaked as I sat on top of it.The dark room was illuminated by a single source of light that being my phone.The moment I saw the words "Honkai:Star rail" I clicked the screen with one hand while I used the other to switch on the fan.
My school uniform was scattered all on the floor and I felt hot even in my cotton shirt and shorts.The only distraction being the soul sucking parasite of a game on my phone.
Don't get me wrong I love "Honkai:Star rail".It is without a doubt amazing,I for one enjoy the graphics and characters and background designs but man can it be addicting especially if you are an 11th grader like me who has to study on daily basis.
I clicked on the screen once more after the moving image of a train traversing through the cosmos appeared.
"Did they really have to make it takes this long to load"
Or maybe my internet was crap but I digress.
I tugged at my shirt as the gane finally finished loading.I grabbed the phone with the eagerness of a toddler getting a new toy and immideatly clicked on the star-like icon on the top right part of the screen aka the warp icon.
The photo of a beautiful silver haired girl greeted me and my lips curved up in a smile.The girl had her hand stretched straight with a robin flying from it and a ridiculously gaint music box was behind her.Her mouth open as if singing a song
"This is it"
I took a deep breath, every ticket I have been saving was for this moment.Without any delay I clicked the "wraplx10" button,holding my breath in anticipation.
Suddenly a bright light flooded my eyes as if the game suddenly decided to flash-bang me.
I was momentarily blind and groped the air in front of me as if trying to get a hold of something
Then I heard a voice,a smooth and silky voice that flowed into my ear.
It felt oddly familiar.
"Time to get up"
