Chapter 1 - Enter the Archivist

Alex Carter had always prided himself on his intelligence. A tech enthusiast and fantasy nerd, he had spent most of his life buried in books or tinkering with computers. That life ended rather unceremoniously when a runaway truck sent him into oblivion. Yet, instead of darkness, he awoke to something much stranger—a new body, a new world, and a new power.

He was eleven, with no memories of his supposed childhood, but knowledge surged through him as if downloaded into his mind. The moment he focused, a translucent blue screen appeared before his eyes.

[Archive Magic Initialized]

"No way..." he muttered, fingers twitching as more information flooded in. Text, symbols, and formulas scrolled past his vision at an alarming rate, categorizing and analyzing everything within his perception. It was overwhelming yet exhilarating.

Archive Magic. The ability to store, analyze, and retrieve any kind of data at will. This wasn't just magic—it was the ultimate information system, a supercomputer built directly into his mind. And judging by his surroundings, he was in none other than the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

A sharp knock on the door broke him from his thoughts. Standing outside was a stern-looking woman in emerald robes. Professor McGonagall.

"Mr. Carter, I presume? It is time to go."

His heart pounded. This was real. Hogwarts. Magic. A world of danger and wonder.

And he held the key to its greatest secrets. magic? Fascinating. I haven't seen something like this in centuries."

"You can read that?" Alex thought, startled.

"Oh, I can read much more than that, young Carter. Your mind is an intricate web of structured knowledge, unlike anything I've encountered before. A seeker of wisdom, ambitious yet fair-minded. A mind sharp as Ravenclaw's, but with the drive of a Slytherin... Where to put you?"

Alex hesitated. He had Archive Magic. Knowledge was his greatest weapon. But where could he make the most of it? Gryffindor and Hufflepuff wouldn't fit. Slytherin might offer advantages, but the risks were too high.

"Better be... RAVENCLAW!"

The table erupted into applause, and Alex took his seat among his new housemates, mind already racing with possibilities. With his Archive Magic, he could analyze spells in real time, create digital tomes of lost knowledge, and even predict patterns of dark magic before they emerged. He had the opportunity to uncover what even Dumbledore himself might have overlooked.

As the feast commenced, he discreetly activated his Archive.

The very fabric of Hogwarts began unraveling before his eyes, revealing hidden enchantments, protective barriers, and even traces of dark magic that lingered from centuries past. If he played his cards right, he wouldn't just survive this world—he would master it.

His mind absorbed spell theory from floating diagrams, decrypted arcane formulas hidden in the very air around him, and even highlighted flaws in existing enchantments. He was going to make history in this school.
