When he got no response, he groaned loudly. He could be such a diva. Kai was rubbing off on him.
"Well, you see, Arthur. Chloe here was so enthusiastic last night and very impatient that she bumped into the table, and it broke." The smile he gave made my hold on the fork tighten. Oh, how easy it would be to stab him.

My innocent little boy shook his head in mild disappointment and said as he drew his seat, "You should be careful, Chloe."
The audacity. I huffed, stuffing my face with the obnoxiously delicious meal that Kai made before anything stupid could come out of my mouth.
