I sat down across from Eric, my body tense, every instinct screaming at me to leave.
But I stayed.
Ash settled into her chair, pulling out her phone and setting it face-down on the table between us. Recording, probably.
"Alright, Eric," she said briskly. "Tell Kael what you told me. About Sarah."
Eric shifted in his seat, his hands clasped together on the table. He looked uncomfortable. Guilty.
Good.
"It started about seven months into my relationship with Aria," he began, his voice quiet. "Sarah… she came on to me."
I felt my jaw tighten.
"That's a fucking pathetic excuse to cheat don't you think?" I said flatly.
Eric flinched but nodded. "I know. I'm not trying to justify it. I'm just telling you what happened."
"Then keep talking," I said.
