Chapter 726 - Chapter 726: Investigation Mission

"There's a teleporter?" Gary asked.

Gary was surprised. He hadn't expected the observation stations in Area Zero to also have a teleporter. No wonder the Paldea League Headquarters had been built right next to the Great Crater of Paldea—it was for the convenience of transferring Pokémon.

"Yes, but the teleporter can only transmit Pokémon, not people," Hannah interjected.

Gary: →_→

Intentionally, huh.

Gary seriously suspected that the Paldea League had deliberately set it up this way in order to prevent Paradox Pokémon from being taken away by people from other regions.

"I'll hand the Iron Bundle over to Professor Sada." Gary passed the Poké Ball to her.

"Don't worry, we'll take care of it."

With the Iron Bundle dealt with, everyone headed into the observation station.

Professor Sada pressed the remote control switch. The iron rolling door of the observation station slid upward, and the lights inside automatically turned on. Everyone entered the observation station. Inside was an empty room with instruments set up within it.

After everyone was inside, they closed the rolling door. Professor Sada and Garke went over to the instrument console and began operating it together.

"Professor, the communication is normal. You can contact them directly," Garke said.

"Good."

Professor Sada nodded. After operating the console, a communication screen appeared on the LCD display and quickly connected. Everyone saw Chairwoman Geeta's face appear on the screen.

"Chairwoman Geeta, we have arrived safely at the first observation station. Everything is normal at present," Professor Sada reported.

"Good. As long as you're safe. Today's signal has no interference," Geeta said.

Not only were there Terastallization phenomena and violent Pokémon inside the Great Crater of Paldea, but the internal magnetic field was also extremely unstable. Because of that, observation data could not be transmitted back promptly. That was why someone needed to come in every once in a while to copy the data and take it back out.

"Yes. And we gained something as soon as we came in this time. Gary captured the Paradox Pokémon we observed before—the Iron Bundle," Professor Sada said.

"Oh! You got something the moment you entered. It seems Gary's joining has brought us a lot of luck," Geeta said with a smile.

"If Chairwoman Geeta doesn't mind me saying so, even without me, the Iron Bundle would have appeared there. With Angus and Nick here, they could have captured it as well," Gary said.

Angus and Nick exchanged glances. Their reaction had been several steps slower than Gary's, and they hadn't even noticed the Iron Bundle.

If they had gotten close to the observation station without discovering the Iron Bundle, it would have been disastrous if they had suddenly been attacked. The more they thought about it, the more terrifying it became.

In truth, Angus and Nick had simply been careless. Because the upper floor was relatively safe, they hadn't released their Pokémon in order not to delay the pace of the expedition. If they had remained fully alert throughout, they would never have let the Iron Bundle get the jump on them.

Geeta smiled, but did not continue to banter with Gary. She was more concerned about the Iron Bundle.

Professor Sada also directly transferred the Iron Bundle back, then began copying all of the observation station's surveillance footage from this period onto a storage hard drive.

Garke also began conducting comprehensive inspections of the power equipment and signal systems in the other two rooms of the observation station.

Angus and Nick were in charge of security. They released Incineroar and Klawf respectively, and the two Pokémon made the place feel much more secure.

Hannah and Gary prepared lunch for everyone.

But… Gary was a little depressed at the moment.

He had come to the Great Crater of Paldea to capture Paradox Pokémon. Although he had been lucky enough to encounter one as soon as he entered, he could now only stay at the observation station and couldn't go anywhere. That was a little hard for Gary to accept.

After lunch was ready, everyone ate at the observation station, and Gary also got a look at the Pokémon everyone had brought.

Besides Incineroar and Talonflame, Nick also had an Armarouge.

Angus's three Pokémon were Tauros, Klawf, and Baxcalibur.

Garke's Pokémon was a Porygon2. Its level wasn't high; it was specifically used to help Garke check whether there were any problems with the power devices, and it also helped maintain the systems.

Because of Porygon2's special nature, it could enter circuit boards and repair broken circuits inside them, making it a very convenient and practical repair Pokémon.

Hannah's Pokémon was a Meowscarada. Its level wasn't high either; it was a pet she had raised herself. As she continued raising it, it had evolved into Meowscarada.

[LV62 Klawf / Elite]

[LV63 Tauros / Champion]

[LV64 Baxcalibur / Champion]

Gary mainly looked at Angus's Pokémon. The three Pokémon Angus had brought had fairly complicated typing—Fighting, Rock, and Ice respectively.

The Fighting typing came from the fact that Angus's Tauros was the Paldean form.

The Tauros of the Paldea Region were very special. They had three different forms: the Combat Breed, the Blaze Breed, and the Aqua Breed. The three Tauros had the same size and Base Stat Total, and even shared the same Ability.

The only difference was their typing.

Combat Breed Tauros was pure Fighting-type.

Blaze Breed Tauros was dual Fighting and Fire-type.

Aqua Breed Tauros was dual Fighting and Water-type.

Angus's Tauros was the Blaze Breed. It had a few tufts of red hair on the mane above its head, making it easy to identify.

Klawf was Rock-type. Its only particularly outstanding trait was its Anger Shell Ability, which was its exclusive Ability.

As for Baxcalibur, there was no need to say much—it was the pseudo-legendary Pokémon of the Paldea Region. This was the first time Gary had ever seen a Baxcalibur.

Angus and Nick were also looking at Gary's Blastoise. They had seen Gary's Charizard and Eevee before; this was the first time they had seen his Blastoise.

After observing everyone's Pokémon, Gary couldn't help asking, "Professor Sada, can I go out for a walk this afternoon?"

Because they had entered Area Zero, all travel routes had to be arranged according to Professor Sada's plans. No one else had the authority to deviate from the route.

"Since you want to go out so badly, you, Angus, and Garke will go check the upper Rock area later," Professor Sada said.

"The Rock area? Professor, did you detect something there?" Garke asked.

"I just reviewed some of the footage. A month ago, the Pokémon in the Rock area kept moving outward, and some even came all the way to the observation station. There should be something wrong there. I suspect it might involve a Paradox Pokémon. I need you to check it out," Professor Sada explained.

The moment he heard the words "Paradox Pokémon," Gary suddenly became energetic.
