Suddenly he met himself in a dark world that is so quiet that no sound were heard and in front of him a pair of blood red eyes stared at him with a huge deformed smile that has small fangs shown slightly and then he said.
" DO YOU WANT POWER".
Carl stared at shadow for a few seconds before replying ' is it something you can grant me '.
"HAHAHAHA HA.... OF COURSE AM HERE TO FULFILL YOUR ENTIRE WISH AFTERALL" shadow said while his deformed smile widened.
How great of a power are you going to give me 'carl said '
"GREAT, BEYOND AND ABOVE YOUR ENEMY" said shadow.
Are they any backlash or repercussions for such power Carl asked warily.
" HAAHAHAHAH OF COURSE THERE IS, THE POWER AM GOING TO GIVE YOU IS THE POWER OF YOUR EXISTENCE, THE POWER OF THE REAPER WHO WAS FEARED AND ABOVE EVERYONE YOU CAN ONLY USE THIS POWER FOR THIRTY SECONDS SINCE YOU ARE NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO USE IT YET.... ANYTHING BEYOND THIRTY SECONDS COULD DAMAGE YOU PHYSICALLY AND SPIRITUALLY OR WORSE DIE OR BE PARALYZED. BUT I HAVE SEEN CASES OF BEINGS SURPASSING THIS LIMIT WITH MINIMUM DAMAGE".
HMMM.... but I will be able to destroy the beast right with this power.
"OF COURSE YOU WILL, THE POWER OF THE REAPER IS FAR GREATER THAN YOU THINK.....NOW TELL ME DO YOU AGREE".
after a moment of silence Carl said with a beam of determination in his eyes 'I accept '.

Before the incident of the beast defeating the patriarch and Carl contact with shadow.
At the academy inside one of the underground a huge round table was seen in a room with twenty seats surrounding the table and people with a veil covering their faces were seen seated at the seat surrounding the table each wearing a cloak with different symbols and colours and in the middle of them Alfred was seated with guards with different symbols and armour one each standing at the back of their respective leaders with the same symbols,in front of them is a huge screen like projection displaying the patriarch arriving at the battlefield
They have arrived finally ' shouted Alfred as he stared at the projection.
Well it seems that the students manage to hold up quite a bit. the voice of an aged man could be heard from one of the leaders with a veil and has the symbol of a dragon looking beast with two large horns, the beast was pure red in colour and it appears to be sleeping as it's head was laid on it's two fore limb crossed together and it's large red wings covered the rest of it's body.
' if only they had gotten there earlier they wouldn't have been any casualties ' Alfred said with anger evident in his voice.
It couldn't be helped what has happened has happened, there's no need to create a ruckus over spilled milk.' another leader said with a sharp voice of a mature but young man and his symbols were that of a huge Phoenix with red fiery flames with it's wings spread widely and body glowing slightly even though it's just a design.
Let's just watched how this will play out, the voice of a woman resounded this time,her voice carries the charisma of a mature woman and her symbol entails a huge tree with many branches but what stood out of the symbol was the colour of the tree which was a golden tree with golden leaves and branches.
Everyone attention was drawn back to the projection which shows the patriarch dividing into two groups, one group in charge of the battle with the beast and the other in charge of taking care of the students.
After a few minutes that felt like a decade all of the leaders including Alfred were left in utterly shock and speechless as the projection shows the beast defeating the patriarch and the students and the rest of the patriarch in charge of taking care of them had their weapons drawn.
This.... this.... this is absurd ' Alfred stuttered quite a bit as he was shocked with what he was seeing in the projection.
The level of this beast is no joke anymore said the leader with the dragon symbol.
The patriarch the beast defeated easily,some have already reached the perfect stage of gold rank and some has just broken through combining all the patriarch they can easily defeat an alpha rank beast and yet they were defeated quite easily said another leader with a mans voice and has the symbol of a white huge fierce wolf with a blood red eyes and fang with claws.
Quick call back all alpha rank patriarch if we don't move now we will lose all the students and quite a number of patriarch said the female leader with a golden tree symbol.
Yes ' shouted her guard standing at her back as he quickly bolted out of the room to call for backup.
After a moment of silence the voice of a leader was heard ' it's useless, the damage has already been done '.
Nobody said anything as the projection displays the beast defeating all the students and holding the leader of the patriarch by the throat struggling for his life.
Suddenly the guard of the female leader returned and With a slight bow said ' my queen the reinforcement will be here in an hour ' he said with no emotion displaying on his tone.
An hour that's too late, the beast Will have done the damage by then ' Alfred said with an annoyed tone.
Well that's if the damage wasn't done already said the leader with the wolf symbol.
Nobody said anything as they stared at the projection displaying the beast mocking the patriarch.
Just as the hope of everyone was already diminishing, suddenly they saw a student twitched slightly, hands shaking slightly then turning into a fist before getting up slowly but his black hair covered his face allowing no one to see his expression or his eyes.
The beast snapped it's head in the student's direction and dropped the leader of the patriarch before saying.
" OHH INTERESTING SOMEONE MANAGE TO GET UP EVEN AFTER ALL THAT BEATING".
"Krrrka"
Sounds of bones cracking could be heard as all the wounds on the students started healing at a rate that rivals nobel vampires and high class werewolf.
Darkness with red entails covered the students body slightly as his face couldn't be see except for his blood red eyes glowing fiercely.
The room was extremely silent as all attention was on the projection being shown and unconsciously they gasped and muttered with shocked evident in their tone.
"THE REAPER"

' I accept ' carl said having made up his mind.
" VERY WELL,WE ARE NOW GOING TO BOND AND YOU WILL USE THE POWER TO DESTROY THE BEAST AND DON'T HOLD BACK"
Having finished talking carl felt a surge of power entering his body, refining evey fiber of muscle,sharping all his senses,he was feeling as if he's being reborn with power he almost felt invisible.
He's body undergo some changes as darkness with red entails covered all his body slightly his eyes glowed blood red fiercely.
He stretch his hands outward as his sword flew towards his hand and holding it tightly and started illuminating with a blood red glow.
After just two seconds of him gaining the power,he suddenly felt like he has just ran a marathon,' proving just how potent and dangerous his power is and his body cannot keep up with it '
" I have to finish this quickly, I only have thirty seconds to end this" carl said as he quickly started walking towards the beast unconsciously; it was like his body is moving based on instinct.
The rest of the students and patriarch who has regained just a little strength to sit up but still couldn't move because of the excruciating pain banging all over their Bodies like a bullet.
They all looked at Carl with shocked evident on their faces as Carl walk towards the beast lightly.
" HAHAHAHA NICE NOW COME AND SHO- " the beast was cut off speech when Carl appears in front of him with a speed so fast the beast couldn't react in time and watched as his face was punch by Carl's fist with a force so strong that all the trees were blown away.
" BOOOOOM "
' A huge explosion sounded as the beast crashed into the forest causing a huge crater to be formed '
After the dust settles, the beast could be seen as half his face was gone and replace with bone and blood with little patch of flesh barely holding together and for some reason the beast regenerating power was not kicking in faster than usual but it's now ten times slower which means that Carl's punch contained great power than the beast shocking everyone watching.
" YOU HUMAN MONGREL HOW DARE YOU HARM ME " ' the beast became furious as it's aura exploded all around the area with a suffocating pressure.
Carl appears behind the beast, trying to devaste another punch to the head but the beast dodge with a backward jump and charge in towards Carl to stab him in the chest, but Carl disappears and reappears further away as shadow reminds him of the countdown remaining " ten seconds "
Knowing that his time his almost up Carl puts his sword back into it's scabbard.
' he then puts one of his arms on the hilt of the blade like an attempt to pull out his blade, while his second hand rested on the scabbard behind his waist, and then he activated the technique he wasn't supposed to use yet but due to the increase in power temporarily he could access them'
" Thunder wavering sun bloom technique final stage"
' immediately Carl said those words the scenery that left everyone utterly shock display in front of them'
Carl's body glowed dark red with golden lightning streaking through his body as his eyes glowed blood red fiercely,his Black hair has turned blood red and inside his iris streaks of golden lightning dances around them,his sword has a mixture of blood red and golden glow with small sparks of flame and lightning were encircling around it.
And with a quick exhale of hot air he said " AESTRAL BLOOM "
" RUMBLE RUMBLE "
Sounds of lightning crashing were heard and Carl appears behind the beast as silence entails.
After a few seconds a look of disbelief and shock appears on the beast face as cut marks appears on the beast arms,legs waist and finally neck.
And without warning the beast severed body fell apart as the beast has been cut in five pieces but even so the beast wasn't dead yet but was slowly drifting away into death.
Carl approach the beast and looked at his dying face with no emotion displaying on his face, nobody can guess what's he's thinking.
" YOU, I HAVE FINALLY KNOWN WHAT YOU ARE; YOU ARE THE GREAT REAPER, THE DESTROYER, THE SLAYER, THE EPITOME OF DEATH HIMSELF ' HAHAHAAH AM TRULY BLESSED TO BE KILLED BY SUCH A BEING '
' the beast said while looking at Carl's blood red glowing eyes where his face couldn't be seen except for his eyes and deformed smile or so it looked like '
" DEVOUR HIM "
The voice of shadow resounded in Carl's head as he instinctively and uncontrollably move towards the beast leaving no space behind the two and suddenly the appearance of Carl change completely into that of a terrifying looking creature with dark red body,long claws and blood red eyes with no iris present in them just full glowing blood red eyes and a deformed mouth with several deadly fangs; and then suddenly dark red shadow came out of Carl's feet and covered the beast entirely and then the shadow retreated into his body leaving no traces of the beast as he completely devoured the beast , once done he then revert back to his human self and his body felt like the whole world has just crashed down on him as an extremely excruciating pain overtook his body as without realizing it Carl has surpassed the time limit of thirty seconds and reached one minute and thirty seconds and then suddenly Carl collapsed unconscious.
