ZEIN
"Andre had a fight with me when he found out that I was seeing you and I wasn't bringing him with me."
Jude is staring at his sandwich, still not eating it but just looking at it.
His hands are shaking a little, and I shift in the bench, gripping my own hot dog, having taken only one bite.
"he says that it's not fair that I get to be the one to see you all the time when he is your best friend and he doesn't," I chuckle, although forced.
I don't think I can swallow anything right now.
"I miss him too," Jude whispers, voice hoarse and weak, and I nod, smiling.
We haven't been allowed to move so freely outside our houses, and Jude hasn't been coming home either.
He has been isolating himself, and the company has been on our necks about any kind of movement.
I wonder if they knew where Jude was, that he wasn't a flight risk, and that's why they aren't as demanding of him.
I doubt that's the case.
