Blaze POV
My world snapped back into focus as I woke up, but everything felt wrong. For a moment, I couldn't move, couldn't breathe properly, couldn't even tell what was going on. My entire body felt constricted, as if something was weighing down on me—too much pressure, too much restraint. My limbs wouldn't respond, and I could feel something scratching at my skin.
I tried to open my eyes, but it took effort. I had to blink away the blurriness before I could see anything. And when I finally did, I froze. The world around me was dark, damp, and suffocating. My body was buried. The only thing exposed was my face, and it was covered with twigs and dirt. Something trickled across my cheek, wet and cold. I realized with a jolt that it was water, mixed with the smell of earth and decay.
"What the hell is this?" I growled to myself, anger bubbling up in my chest as the realization hit. Reed. That mutt had buried me.
