Chapter 181: Too Brutal? Super Saiyan God and the Tail
In a matter of moments, Skinny Buu had been beaten black and blue by Vegeta!
If it weren't for his incredibly powerful regeneration, he probably would've been beaten to death by now.
"Final Burst Cannon!!"
When Gohan and Kibito arrived and saw the scene before them, they were momentarily stunned.
"This... I..." Gohan had the vague feeling he'd arrived too late—Uncle Vegeta looked like he'd already taken care of Buu.
And it was... pretty brutal...
"Wasn't Buu pretty chubby before? Did Vegeta beat him so badly that he slimmed down like this?" Kibito actually found himself feeling a little sorry for Skinny Buu.
As the thick smoke cleared, the fragments of Buu's body on the ground quickly reformed, and he instantly regenerated his injuries.
"This guy is really a pain... even a single cell is enough for him to regenerate..." Vegeta was panting now, fists clenched in frustration.
"Looks like I have to wipe him out completely—until not even dust remains!!"
Vegeta once again ramped up the power of his energy blast. The massive energy flared with a blinding light, engulfing Buu's figure.
The intense energy devoured Buu's body, blasting him apart piece by piece, until finally, there was nothing left—not even a scrap.
When Vegeta dropped back to the ground in his base form, Gohan and Kibito exchanged a look, countless exclamation points practically hovering over their heads.
"Did we... show up too late?" Kibito looked at the equally baffled Gohan and asked.
Gohan nodded and glanced at Vegeta, who was struggling to his feet on the ground. "Yeah... it kinda seems like it."
"Huh? Gohan... you're back?" Piccolo's ears twitched slightly, and his gaze shifted toward Gohan.
"Looks like... you've gotten a lot stronger?!" Piccolo was visibly pleased by the powerful aura radiating from Gohan.
It was that "my boy is growing up" kind of pride!
"Hmph, what good is getting stronger if you show up late?" Vegeta brushed the dust off his body and flew over to join the others.
"Majin Buu! Has been defeated—by me!"
His proud declaration made everyone present twitch at the corners of their mouths.
"Alright, you said before you had a big gift for me!" Vegeta's gaze eagerly turned to Lin Qi.
Lin Qi gave a slight nod, then turned to Kibito. "Has Goku been revived?"
"Uh..." Kibito couldn't react in time, but Gohan answered in his place.
"Nope... kind of a headache now." Lin Qi rubbed his chin, guessing he'd probably have to make a trip to Namek.
Seems like since the crisis was resolved too early, the Old Supreme Kai never sacrificed himself to bring Goku back?
"Vegeta, do you want to become a god? Or would you prefer Goku's Super Saiyan 3 form?"
"That long-haired form of Kakarot's? Not really interested. Sure, it's strong, but it looks like it runs out of steam fast... And what's this about gods?"
Vegeta, clearly intrigued, kept pressing Lin Qi with questions. "If there's a Super 3, is there also a Super 4 or Super 5?"
"...You're really thinking far ahead." Lin Qi placed a hand on Vegeta's shoulder and instantly transported them to the Sacred World of the Kai.
Left behind, Piccolo and Gohan looked at each other, then turned their eyes to Kibito.
"Why're you all looking at me like that?" Kibito asked, puzzled. Surely they weren't planning to head to the Sacred World too?
"Big Brother Gohan..." After the fusion time ended, Goten, who had been lying low, finally spoke up.
"It's Gohan! Huh? Where's my dad?" Trunks, now back to his lively self, looked around curiously.
"...Well, I'm outta here!" Kibito took the opportunity and vanished instantly.
"Hmph..." Piccolo let out a disgruntled snort, then turned to speak with the kids.
"Let's head back. At the very least, we need to let everyone know that Earth is safe now."
Sacred World of the Kai—
"Huh? What are you two doing here?" Goku was lying on his back with his hands behind his head, watching the Earth through the crystal orb.
"I was afraid I'd blow up the Earth, so I figured I'd come here," Lin Qi replied casually. Then, with a burst of energy, he transformed into Super Saiyan 3.
"Whoa-whoa-whoa... I didn't think you could use this form too, Lin Qi!" Goku said excitedly.
"Hm? Your Super 3 looks kinda different from Kakarot's," Vegeta quickly noticed something off.
"Yeah. Didn't you notice Goku's missing something really important?" Lin Qi said with a faint smile.
Vegeta's eyes quickly shifted to Lin Qi's waist, where a tail coiled around. "It's because of the tail?!"
"Right. Think of a Saiyan as a tank of water. Without a tail, Goku's tank has a leak... so naturally, he can't hold Super 3 for long!"
But the more Goku listened, the more confused he became. Scratching the back of his head, he said, "The more you two talk, the less I understand!"
"Next, I'll show you a form that's deadly tied to the tail... my personal favorite—Super Saiyan 4!!"
As Lin Qi powered up again, a violent gust of wind exploded outward from him like a storm.
"Whoa—!" Once again unable to withstand the force, the Old Supreme Kai was blown away. He grabbed onto Shin's leg, causing the Supreme Kai to start floating as well.
"Supreme Kai-sama!" Kibito, who had just returned, saw the scene and rushed to grab Shin's hand in a panic.
"Vegeta, now it's time for you to choose your big gift!" Lin Qi shouted, then transformed into Super Saiyan 4.
"Huh? A golden Great Ape?!"
As Lin Qi transformed into the massive golden ape and then gradually shrank down into the never-before-seen Super Saiyan 4 form...
Vegeta was momentarily dazed. This really was a big gift!
Big enough that he was starting to wonder whether Lin Qi might be the one with the true royal Saiyan bloodline!
"This power... Buu wouldn't be able to withstand even one punch from you!" Goku crossed his arms in front of him, struggling to withstand the force of the wind.
Vegeta, also shielding himself, was grinning from ear to ear, his eyes glowing with excitement. "I like this one too. It's got nothing but pure, raging bloodlust..."
As Lin Qi retracted his energy and returned to his normal state, he said, "So you've seen Super 4. The other one is Super Saiyan God..."
"Show us that one too!" Vegeta nodded, urging him on.
"I can't," Lin Qi replied bluntly. "Super Saiyan God isn't something you can achieve through training alone."
"What, it comes with conditions?" Vegeta frowned and exchanged a glance with Goku.
Goku scratched his nose, looking troubled. "Now I kinda regret not caring about my tail back then..."
