Brandon looked at her for a quiet moment.
Then he leaned in and kissed her.
Charlotte's breath caught against his lips as he held the kiss.
"There is no difference."
Charlotte's golden eyes trembled slightly as she looked at him.
"All of you are Charlotte. Whether your eyes are green, golden, or blue… you're still my Big Sister. Every version of you."
His thumb brushed lightly along her cheek, wiping away a faint trace of moisture that had gathered near her eye.
"You've protected me. And you've loved me in your own way... just like the others. I love you too."
He gave her a small, sincere smile "There isn't a 'real' one that matters more. You're all Charlotte. And you're all my Big Sister."
"I don't care which version of you is sitting here with me. As long as it's you… that's enough for me."
"And… don't blame yourself thinking you failed me. The time storm wasn't something you could have stopped alone. You did everything you could. That's all I've ever needed from you."
