Chapter 683 - Chapter 683 – The Meaning of "Common Talent"

"Your name is Yuezi, right? Tsune Tsune?"

Naruto followed the girl while trying to start a conversation.

Yuezi turned her head, nodded, and said seriously,

"That's right. But after entering the academy, you must call me Senior Sister Yuezi. Do you understand?"

Seeing her suddenly put on a stern tone, Naruto nodded repeatedly.

"Yes, yes, yes!"

He felt a little emotional.

This really reminded him of Konoha Academy, where senior students loved to show off their authority to juniors.

Naruto had experienced bullying before, so when facing Yuezi's attitude, he simply treated it as childish arrogance.

Yuezi led him to the dormitory area for ordinary disciples.

"Alright, this is your room."

She pushed open the door and walked in.

Naruto followed and looked around.

The room was very small, less than ten square meters.

There was only a bed, a table, two chairs, and a wooden cabinet.

There was almost no extra space.

But Naruto was very satisfied.

It was small, safe, and clean.

The bed was against the wall.

Compared to the wooden hut he had lived in before, this place was already luxurious.

"Okay, okay! Thank you, Senior Sister Yuezi!"

Naruto said gratefully and placed his sword on the table.

Yuezi felt helpless.

This guy was treating an ordinary disciple's room like a treasure.

Was he really that simple-minded?

Shaking her head, she decided not to waste more time here.

She turned and prepared to leave.

"Senior Sister Yuezi!"

Naruto suddenly stopped her.

She turned back impatiently.

"What now?"

Naruto scratched his head and smiled awkwardly.

"Um… Senior Sister, I don't really understand the academy yet."

"Like the test just now… I thought my attributes were powerful, but everyone became silent."

Yuezi almost laughed out loud.

So after all this time, he was still feeling proud?

Originally, she didn't want to be so direct.

But seeing how innocent he was, she couldn't help it.

"On the Tsuchigen Planet," she said seriously, "the fewer attributes a person has, the easier it is to cultivate."

"People like you, who have all five attributes, are called… common-type talents."

Naruto frowned.

"Common-type talent? What does that mean?"

Yuezi sighed.

Reluctantly, she explained.

"It means everyone has it."

"That's why it's called common."

Boom.

Naruto felt as if lightning had struck his head.

"How… how can this be?"

Yuezi looked at his stunned expression and knew that his dreams had just shattered.

"You… stay here and don't run around," she said.

"If you need anything, talk to the disciple in charge outside."

After speaking, she turned to leave.

"Senior Sister Yuezi!"

Naruto chased after her and asked with a bitter smile,

"Um… is there still a chance for common-type talents to become strong?"

Yuezi paused.

Then she smiled faintly.

"Yes. It's not that common-type talents can't be cultivated."

Naruto's eyes lit up.

"That's great!"

He bowed slightly.

"Thank you, Senior Sister Yuezi!"

Then he returned to his room.

Yuezi looked at the closed door and shook her head.

"You're really fearless…"

Yes, common talents could be cultivated.

But their achievements were usually limited.

Before leaving, Yuezi reminded the steward disciple,

"Keep an eye on him. Don't let him cause trouble."

"Yes, Senior Sister," the steward nodded.

After she left, Naruto lay on his bed and stared at the ceiling.

He thought about her words again and again.

"Common talent…"

That wasn't a good term.

"How did I end up at the bottom again…"

Naruto sighed deeply.

He had thought that things would be different here.

But in the end, he was still being looked down on.

Now he finally understood why the dean and others had reacted that way.

"Damn it… what else can I do?"

His eyes slowly became firm.

"There's no turning back."

"No matter what, I have to move forward."

He suddenly sat up.

"Right!"

"Didn't the Third Hokage master all five chakra natures?"

"He was still very strong!"

Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Lightning.

He had mastered them all.

Even though Hashirama and Tobirama overshadowed him, Hiruzen was still one of Konoha's greatest Hokage.

After comforting himself, Naruto decided to go out and look around.

When Ichiro had brought him earlier, he had seen many mountains with buildings.

He wanted to explore.

So he opened the door and walked out.

The courtyard was empty and plain.

Very monotonous.

Just as he reached the gate, he was stopped by the steward disciple.

"Hey, kid, where are you going?"

Naruto pointed at himself and smiled.

"Oh, hello, senior—"

Before he finished, the steward interrupted,

"Don't call me senior brother. I'm not your senior."

Naruto frowned slightly.

This was the first time someone had treated him so coldly.

The steward waved impatiently.

"Go back. Don't wander around."

"Senior Sister Yuezi told me to keep an eye on you."

Naruto's face darkened slightly.

But hearing Yuezi's name, he held back.

"Okay, I understand."

As he turned back, he suddenly felt uncomfortable.

"Um… where is the bathroom?"

The steward frowned.

"Bathroom? What's that?"

"The toilet. The place to use the toilet."

The steward cursed,

"Say toilet properly! What weird words are you using?"

"It's over there."

Naruto followed the direction and thanked him politely.

As a newcomer with no strength, it was better not to provoke trouble.

Compared to his childhood in Konoha, this treatment was still mild.

After relieving himself, Naruto felt much better.

Since he wasn't allowed to go out, he returned to his room.

"Forget it."

"Resting is also training."

He lay down, pulled the blanket over himself, and closed his eyes.

Soon, he fell asleep.

Then—

Bang!

The door was kicked open.

"Uzumaki Naruto!"

"Come out quickly! The master wants to see you!"

Naruto sat up in confusion, rubbed his eyes, and looked at the disciple at the door.

He scratched his head.

"Huh… what's going on?"
