"Fainting twice in one day…" a voice suddenly echoed in her ears. "…you're really something, Your Majesty."
When Primrose opened her eyes, she was no longer in the parlor, nor was she in her bedroom. In fact, she didn't feel like she was anywhere inside the manor at all.
The place around her felt strange and unfamiliar.
She lowered her gaze and saw a pair of men's shoes standing in front of her. Confused, she slowly looked up, and then she saw a familiar face.
"Sir… Leofric?" she asked softly, her voice unsure. "Why are you here?"
Putting aside the reason why he was here, Primrose wondered why he looked taller than usual, so tall that her head didn't even reach his waist.
No, wait. Did he look taller because she had become shorter? That was ridiculous… right?
"If I weren't here, your father probably would have taken you away already." He let out a long sigh. "Well… even with me here, this still isn't good news."
