"Hmmm... since the Alpha team has come to support us, I think we should leave this place as soon as possible," said Allen, after realizing he didn't know when the facility's self-destruct program would start.
Cough... Cough... "Sorry, I don't think I can do much, I'm too injured," said Keyneth.
"It's fine, you better rest here," replied Allen.
"Allen, I will also stay here to guard Keyneth. Yeah, we'll also try to find another way out. If I remember correctly, we saw a vehicle left behind in the warehouse," said Edward, who still seemed able to move.
"Alright, be careful then," said Allen. After that, he moved along with the others, leaving Edward and Keyneth behind in the room.
"Follow me, I know the way to the underground lab," said Richard.
"Okay," Allen replied.
Their journey went quite smoothly since most of the monsters here had already been taken care of earlier by Bravo team, and the remains of zombie corpses and monsters could be seen along the way.
At the lobby area, they entered a secret staircase leading to the underground lab. When they all went down, they found Chris and Joseph.
"Allen, Rebecca, thank God you're here! Joseph—he's injured and needs help!" said Chris.
Rebecca immediately opened her bag and pulled out her medical tools to treat Joseph's wound.
"How did this happen, how did he get injured?" asked Allen.
"This is my fault, I let my guard down. When a zombie was about to bite me, Joseph protected me instead," said Chris.
"Don't blame yourself, Chris. This was my own decision. Besides... I don't have much time left, and maybe I'll turn into one of them. Oh, and if you guys make it out alive, please tell my wife... she can remarry. I don't want her to live alone after I'm gone," said Joseph, who already seemed to know his fate would be the same as the other zombies.
"Well, don't worry about that. You're not going to turn into a zombie because you're going to use this antivirus... and meet your wife again," said Allen, who then injected the last antivirus into Joseph.
Chris, seeing that, became suspicious and pointed his gun at Allen. "Allen, where did you get that medicine? Are you involved in this? Are you also working with Umbrella?"
"Stop, Chris! Lower your weapon!" said Jill, who then also pointed her pistol at Chris. Athena and Svetlana pointed their guns at him as well.
"Jill... and you too, are you all involved in this?"
"Whoa, whoa, everyone calm down and stop pointing your guns at each other," said Richard.
"Chris, Allen isn't one of Umbrella, okay? He even gave me the same medicine when I was injured by a zombie. He saved my life, and also Edward's and Keyneth's," said Richard, standing between both sides now aiming at each other.

"Okay, Chris, listen to my explanation. I worked at Umbrella to investigate them," said Allen.
"Allen is telling the truth, Chris. I was the one who asked him to do that. After several missing person cases in the Arklay Mountains, I found some evidence of Umbrella's involvement. But it was difficult for me to investigate directly, so I asked Allen for help," Jill explained.
"I-I also know about this, Chris. Allen worked there to collect evidence by stealing data from the company," said Rebecca.
"You guys... then why didn't you tell the other members, or report this first?" asked Chris, finally lowering his weapon after hearing that explanation.
"The more people who know about this, the more dangerous it becomes, Chris. You know Umbrella is a multinational conglomerate with many branches. If you suddenly report this to the government or media without clear evidence, of course, it would be impossible. And many others have already tried, only to fail to expose Umbrella. Not long after their conversation, Joseph's condition finally began to improve, allowing them to continue searching for the other team members.
Chris, relieved, turned to Joseph. "Are you sure you're okay? You're still injured."
"I think it's fine. Come on, let's find the others," said Joseph.
Everyone nodded, then continued their journey down the underground corridor.
The group then walked deeper into the area. Many monsters tried to block their path, such as giant spiders and flies the size of a human head, but they were all easily dealt with since the S.T.A.R.S. team showered them with bullets. Bang!.. Bang!.. Bang!..
Allen couldn't help but wonder how Enrico and the others managed to get this far inside the place.
"Why are there so many disgusting monsters here?" Richard cursed with a tone full of disgust.
At this moment, they were in the aquarium area, which had already been drained. There, they saw two bull sharks writhing aggressively, but it looked like they couldn't move anymore. Apparently, Enrico and the others had drained the aquarium beforehand.
Bang!.. Bang!.. Bang!..
After walking quite far and deeper into the facility, they found a passageway that split into two. One path led to a locked steel door that required a special key, while the other led toward a grave. Not long after, they heard the sound of continuous gunfire echoing from the tunnel leading to the grave of Jessica Trevor.
The others, upon hearing it, immediately rushed toward the source of the sound.
"You guys go on ahead, I'll hold her off," said Enrico, who seemed to be facing Lisa Trevor.
Bang!.. Bang!.. Bang!.. Gunshots from Enrico echoed as he tried to distract Lisa.
It seemed to work, but instead his shots only enraged Lisa further. She then charged at Enrico with all her might. Luckily, Enrico managed to dodge, causing Lisa to slam hard into the cave wall.
"No, Captain! We won't leave you behind!" shouted Foster, who joined in the fight and opened fire, followed by the other three members.
"Just go! This is Umbrella's conspiracy—at least one of us has to survive to tell the public what really happened here!" Enrico shouted.
But it seemed the others didn't care about that. Their bond of camaraderie was too strong to abandon their captain or any of their comrades in danger.
At this point, Lisa was furious. She grabbed a long metal rod, using it like a spear, and hurled it toward Enrico.
"No, Captain, dodge!" shouted one of his men.
But then, another object flew through the air—a round shield.
Ding!.. The sound of the shield striking rang out, deflecting the spear. The shield ricocheted around several places before returning to its thrower—Athena.
All eyes then turned to Athena and the people who had come with her. The members who witnessed Athena's throwing technique were amazed by the move—even though it looked utterly impossible, almost like Captain America's style from Marvel.
Svetlana, being a veteran soldier, grew very curious about this. It seemed that Allen's woman was far from ordinary.
But this was not the time for them to relax. The other members quickly took action as well, firing their weapons at Lisa Trevor. A rain of bullets tore into her body, causing Lisa to scream in pain as parts of her flesh were ripped apart.
"Huahhh!" Lisa let out a deafening scream, and from her body sprouted long, writhing tentacles, which she then used as weapons to attack the people around her.
Jill and Athena immediately stepped forward together, charging side by side to face Lisa head-on.
The other members who saw this wanted to tell them to fall back because it was dangerous, but Allen said to just trust them. The others were a little confused as to why Allen allowed them to act so recklessly, but Allen didn't answer and just kept watching. Lisa Trevor's screams echoed inside the cave, her deformed body trembling with rage. Long tentacles burst out from her back, smashing against the cave walls and shattering stalactites. Rocks fell all around them.
"She's getting wilder!" Jill shouted as she rolled to the side to avoid a whipping tentacle. She raised her pistol and fired rapidly. Bang! Bang! Bang! The bullets struck Lisa's face, making the monster stagger.
Athena stood in front of Jill, gripping her round shield firmly. Her eyes were sharp, focused. "We drive her toward the cliff. Jill, cover me."
Lisa roared, then swung one of her tentacles straight at Athena. WHOOSSH! In an instant, Athena raised her shield. CLANNGG!! The hard impact of metal against grotesque flesh sent shards of stone scattering. Athena's body was pushed back several steps, but she held her ground.
"Nice! Our turn!" Jill yelled, sprinting to the right and firing at Lisa's legs. Bang! Bang! Jill's shots struck her knees, making Lisa stumble even more.
Athena dashed forward. With a full-powered swing, she hurled her shield. WHOOMM!! The shield spun fast and slammed into Lisa's chest. DENGGG! The force knocked Lisa back, her body teetering on the cliff's edge.
Lisa roared, her tentacles lashing wildly to grab onto something. One of them nearly hit Jill—
"Ughh!" Jill fell to the ground, her pistol slipping from her grasp.
Athena leapt forward instantly, catching her shield as it rebounded. With one swift motion, she deflected the tentacle that was about to rip into Jill. CLANG!! The tentacle recoiled violently. Jill looked up at Athena briefly and gave a thankful nod.
Lisa kept roaring, her deformed body half-dangling over the abyss. She tried to climb back up using her tentacles. Athena exhaled sharply. "Not today…"
With a fierce cry, Athena hurled her shield once more. This time it struck Lisa square in the head. DOONGG!! The monster's head snapped back, throwing her off balance completely.
"Jill, now!"
Jill raised her pistol and fired her last bullet straight at the massive chain still wrapped around Lisa's Arms.
BANG!!
It made Lisa fall down because her hand failed to hold the cliff wall.
Lisa screamed one last time, "HUUUUAAAAAAHHHHHH!!" Her form toppled backward and plummeted into the dark abyss, her tentacles clawing uselessly at the air until she vanished into the shadows.
Silence filled the cave, broken only by the echo of dripping water.
Jill stood, panting, her face tense. "She… she really fell."
Athena took a deep breath, her shield sliding back into her grip. She gazed into the chasm with a cold expression. "May this finally be the end of her suffering."
The two of them stood side by side at the cliff's edge, dim light casting across their faces, before they finally turned back to rejoin the others.
"How was it, Allen? Did we do a good job?" said Jill and Athena, as if wanting to get praise from Allen.
"Of course, my two beautiful women are very strong," Allen said, praising Athena and Jill.
And of course, the two women who heard that praise felt sweetness in their hearts. Meanwhile, the male members of the tactical rescue team were amazed at Allen, because he could handle fierce women like Athena and Jill only with compliments.
"Captain, are you all alright?" Allen asked, then checked the condition of the other members together with Rebecca to make sure they didn't have injuries.
"We are fine, thank you for coming to help," said Enrico, grateful to the other team members who had arrived to give support. "Since you're here, let's leave this place immediately," Enrico continued, looking like he wanted to hurry.
But not long after, Barry suddenly appeared from nowhere. "Ahhh Captain Enrico, thank God I found you."
"Ohh hey Barry, let's get out of here right away. This place is very dangerous, we better leave at once," said Enrico.
"But what about Captain Wesker? He's still investigating this place, let's find him first," said Barry, approaching Enrico. It seemed like he had no other choice and had to act recklessly.
But Enrico shook his head. "No, this is all a conspiracy from Wesker. We have to get out of here quickly, I don't know what he is planning~"
But before he could even finish talking, Barry immediately pointed his gun from behind and took him hostage.
This made all of the S.T.A.R.S. members shocked at Barry's behavior, who had apparently betrayed them.
"All of you, if you don't want the Captain's head blown off, do as I say and follow me into that room," Barry said, wanting to lock them in one of the prison cells there.
"Barry, have you been working for Umbrella with Wesker this whole time?" Enrico said.
"I'm sorry everyone, but please, just obey me. Don't make me do this," Barry said, ready to pull the trigger—his tone quite depressed.
Jill wanted to move to snatch Barry's gun, but Allen stopped her by gripping her hand. Allen knew now was not the right time to do that.
"Barry! Are you crazy? Stop this, what are you doing?!" said Chris, still unable to believe his friend's actions.
"I have no choice, Chris, please just go into that room and obey me," Barry said, looking ready to pull the trigger of his pistol.
All the members were very confused—why would an honest man like Barry betray his team? Was it for money?
Then they slowly began moving into the cell.
Athena and Svetlana stayed silent. For them, they could escape from this place anytime, so following this drama was just amusing to them, something they considered entertainment.
