In the office, Hannah Hargrave heard Nicholas Croft's "proposal," and an involuntary smile appeared at the corner of her lips. Clearly, she wanted to make things difficult for Nicholas Croft, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. She stood up, opened the office door, and urgently walked out.
Outside the office building, Nicholas Croft was still using a loudspeaker to shout above, attracting journalists—some busy snapping photos, others broadcasting live.
The company's glass door opened, and Hannah Hargrave, dressed in a beige office outfit, stepped out and stood on the steps. Her long hair was styled in big waves hanging by the side of her face. She looked at the man still holding the loudspeaker proposing below, with the corners of her lips slightly raised.
This was an image she had fantasized about countless times. She had even imagined before that if Nicholas Croft was willing, she would willingly propose herself.
