"Thank you," Daniel Harris said, "and thank you for coming up the mountain to find me that day. It was there, on that mountain, that I decided to properly treat my eyes. Since there's a possibility I could see again, I shouldn't give up, right?"
As he spoke, he walked up to her, suddenly bending down, his whole face zooming in front of her as if magnified. "Mabel Quinn, you once said my eyes were beautiful. Do you still find them beautiful now?"
But before she could answer him, her vision went dark as a large hand covered her eyes, and Kyle Kinston's voice came from beside her, "Mr. Harris, long time no see. It seems the surgery was a success; you can see again now."
