"Why are you crying again?" Dorian hurriedly pulled out a handkerchief to wipe the tears from his wife's face.
"I thought of Mabel and felt she's too wronged. Your cousin clearly schemes every step, and yet she wants to claim the title of 'Mrs. Kinston!' And Mabel, all she has is just a memorial tomb in the Quinn Family!"
Alice spoke with increasing anger, "You see, now in the entire Falling City, people only know Francine is standing by Kyle's side, talking about how she will become Mrs. Kinston. Who remembers there's still a legitimate Mrs. Kinston? How many people still remember Mabel?"
"I know, I know it all! I understand your feelings!" Dorian embraced Alice, "But I can't stand by and watch Kyle die; he loved Mabel too much. Losing her is like sentencing him to death."
Choking with sobs, Alice finally said nothing more. By now, no amount of words could change anything.
Dorian looked up at the gradually rounding moon, worry flashing in his eyes.
