With Song Lingzhao's new position as a squad leader, everyone in the Song Family, from the elders to the youngsters, was delighted. Song Zhicheng, his father, brought a jar of aged fine wine into the study of his eldest son.
"Bring out your two delicate porcelain cups with the qilin playing with pearls design. Today is a great day; let's drink to our fill with this jar." Song Zhicheng grinned, patting the wine jar tucked under his arm.
Song Zhiyuan found it amusing and had someone bring the wine cups. He also prepared a small heater to warm the wine and some appetizers to go with it. The two brothers sat by the table.
"Zhao'er sent a letter, and you're this happy, even bringing out the good wine. I thought you'd save it for Yuanyuan's wedding," Song Zhiyuan teased.
