Faye held Ivy's hands tightly: "Henry isn't the type of person who invests feelings in someone he doesn't care about.
When I called him, all I heard in his tone was worry.
Ivy, trust me, I wouldn't lie to you."
"But even if he cares about me, what difference does it make?"
"No matter what it changes, both of you shouldn't get so stubborn, take my advice.
Ivy, Henry is a good man, don't let him slip away."
Ivy thought for a moment and finally nodded. She never really intended to divorce the man, she just wanted him to change his emotional direction.
She didn't think she was being unreasonable. People are inherently selfish, and she was fighting for affection for herself, and fighting for fatherly love for her daughter, which was the right thing to do.
After Faye went downstairs, she immediately called Isla, believing Isla would be willing to meet Ivy.
But she wasn't willing.
