"It wasn't my dad, it was your dad."
Henry Sullivan looked at her, his expression not too good: "What's he doing here? We're no longer family, no need to keep in touch."
Ivy Miller pursed her lips: "Dad said he wants me to work at the company."
"Don't go," Henry's expression was calm, "Let's not get involved with their affairs anymore."
"But I already agreed."
Henry raised his eyes to look at her, putting his chopsticks down on the table, looking serious.
Ivy pouted: "You're angry."
"How did my dad force you?"
"He didn't force me. You weren't home, and after all, he's my elder.
If it were my own dad, I could argue back a bit. But unfortunately, he's your father.
He's called me so many times, and now he's come to visit me personally.
As a daughter-in-law, how can I keep refusing him?"
"Then I'll call him and turn him down," he said, reaching for his phone.
Ivy calmly said, "So you're really planning on making him dislike me every time he sees me?"
