"Can you guarantee not to offend any factions?" The young man inquired.
"That I can't promise," Brand spread his hands and said, not intending to deceive anyone, as he was not capable of dragging innocents down for personal gain. "But I might be able to promise not to get you involved."
The young man stared at him.
The knight was almost at the manor's gates, and they had already seen the large hole. However, there was no firelight in the corridor, so Brand and Delphire stood hidden in the shadows, and the knights hadn't yet noticed the situation inside the house. After a moment
