Destroying two teleportation gates and destroying one teleportation gate felt vastly different. If only one teleportation gate remained, people might still have the confidence to fight, but with two, only despair remained.
Gallock recited each spell powerfully and sonorously as the knights surrounded him. In the distance, scattered little demons were being driven back by the barbarian demons flying from afar; each of the three teleportation gates was actually stationed with a large number of demons. Especially near Ampezel Port, many barbarian demons were flapping their wings to ascend, and Brand knew there must be many high-level demons commanding them.
The first teleportation gate was destroyed; the demons seemed to be dumbstruck before they reacted. They probably didn't anticipate that dozens of humans could defeat their kind, not to mention that even the knights of Lantoniyan hadn't considered it.
But the demons also reacted swiftly.
