At the end of the Sword Year, the second invasion of the Blood Wand indeed took place in history.
This rebellious King of Corpse Witches colluded with Jandener to create a disturbance, attempting to fabricate an excuse for an invasion of Erune. The deeper intention was to rid themselves of the absolute control of Madara's Supreme Emperor, or at least to weaken His Majesty's prestige.
So this was an elaborate play directed by the Blood Wand itself, only some had planned the grand opening without anticipating the final outcome. The once invincible Blood Wand that swept through the Eastern Karasu was completely buried in this war, first defeated by the alliance of Ecco, Yura, and Duke Viero, and then ambushed by the army of the Banshee Queen Alvette who was 'supposedly' unwilling to submit under the Mercury Wand, before being defeated and killed during the retreat to the Spider Land.
