Michael Linton had initially not realized who Easton Holmes was talking about, but upon seeing Easton's unpleasant expression, he immediately understood.
"What's the matter with calling so late?"
If there was nothing significant, that person wouldn't proactively call here—not even during the day, let alone in the dead of night.
"The two of them had a fight."
While responding to his uncle, Easton Holmes took out his phone from his pocket, then walked aside to make a call.
Although Michael Linton didn't know what exactly had happened, he could tell from Easton's behavior that the argument between his sister and brother-in-law wasn't simple; something serious must have taken place, otherwise, they wouldn't make a call here in the middle of the night.
As there was some distance between them, and Easton's voice was not loud, Michael Linton couldn't hear whom he was calling or what he was saying.
