The sudden sound of the door opening startled both people on the phone.
Thomas Fisher instinctively looked toward the door and saw his mother, Autumn York. His eyebrows furrowed instantly.
"I'll call you back later." He quickly said to the person on the other end before hanging up, already knowing that his mom was angry about the situation between him and her.
"Mom! Can you knock before coming in next time? What if I'm in the shower? It's not appropriate to just come in like that. I'm not a child anymore," Thomas said, watching Autumn enter the room. He noticed that she stared at him with the same expression since she came in.
He immediately sensed trouble. Knowing his mom, she was very, very angry, genuinely angry, otherwise she wouldn't have interrupted him mid-sentence.
Autumn stared coldly at Thomas for a while before walking over. She stopped a meter away from him.
"Finished talking?" she asked, looking down at him sitting on the bed.
