Charlotte didn't stand on ceremony with Thomas and walked over to open the lunch boxes placed on the cabinet. As soon as she opened them, a tempting aroma wafted into her nose. She closed her eyes and leaned in to take a sniff. "Smells so good."
After savoring enough of the aroma, she felt it was time to let her stomach enjoy it too.
"Thomas! You haven't eaten either, right? Come have some with your sister." Unlike Benjamin, who devoured the meal Thomas brought all by himself, Charlotte picked up a bowl to wash. She intended to use it to share the meal with Thomas.
Thomas understood what Charlotte meant, but he declined, "Charlotte! Please, have it yourself. I ate breakfast a bit late, and I'm really not hungry right now."
He wasn't just being polite; he really wasn't hungry and meant what he said.
