Alice Turner didn't expect Autumn York to ask her that all of a sudden, but she wasn't conflicted at all, because she definitely wouldn't consider working at Thomas Fisher's company.
She didn't want to rely on family or friends to build her career; if she did, she would have gone straight to her family's company or a friend's company six years ago after graduating from university, instead of applying to other companies.
"Auntie! I'm doing quite well at my current company, and I have no plans to change jobs for now." She declined the offer with what she thought was the most tactful language.
"It's great, but that's still someone else's company. Here, it's our own family's company. Once you're here, Thomas will arrange a better position for you," Autumn York leaned over to look at Thomas Fisher and asked, "You will, right?"
