Upon hearing that his great-grandfather was delayed and wouldn't return soon, little Aiden pouted in disappointment, but he quickly recovered and ran towards Harriet. "What about Uncle? Is Uncle not home either?"
He only saw his great-grandmother and aunt, and not the two others he was hoping to see.
"Uncle is not home either."
The disappointment was evident on little Aiden's face. Harriet reached out to gently pat his little head, silently comforting his disheartened mood.
Hearing Harriet say that Ryan wasn't home, Easton Holmes and Lily Turner were also disappointed, though they were better at hiding it than their son. Their disappointment remained internal, showing no trace on their faces.
