Feng Fuce noticed it was still early.
He said to Bai Zhi'er, "You should sleep a bit more. Are you still going to Yan Country?"
Bai Zhi'er thought for a moment, "It's almost dawn, I won't go for now. I'll check it out tomorrow night."
Feng Fuce nodded. He thought for a while before saying, "I won't go far, just outside the window."
With that, he turned and left the window, but didn't go far.
Bai Zhi'er lay down again, pulling the quilt tightly over herself.
Feng Fuce surely knew that she was still frightened by the rats and couldn't sleep immediately.
So he told her he would be outside keeping watch, to reassure her.
He always had a way of making Bai Zhi'er feel his kindness through subtle gestures.
Perhaps because she knew Feng Fuce was outside the window, Bai Zhi'er gradually felt at ease.
She turned over, and amidst her chaotic thoughts, drifted back to sleep.
This time, her Divine Sense was beyond her control and led her to the backyard of the Yuan Residence.
