Feng Fuce let out a helpless laugh. "There is a difference. Once and twice are not the same."
Zhi'er thought for a moment and felt he had a point.
She nodded lightly.
However, the moment her head moved, Feng Fuce's hand slipped to the back of her neck and pulled her in.
He pressed his forehead directly against the center of Zhi'er's brows.
Their faces were flush together, their intertwined breaths full of hidden intimacy, quietly declaring the nature of their relationship.
Zhi'er froze for a second. "I…I hadn't even finished nodding the first time."
Feng Fuce smiled. "It's enough."
All he wanted was to see a trace of certainty in her expression, even the tiniest bit.
For that alone, he could be overjoyed.
It felt as if Zhi'er had crooked a finger at him; no matter how many hardships lay between them, he would still walk toward her without the slightest hesitation.
Zhi'er didn't know when exactly she had been pulled onto Feng Fuce's lap.
