Care, Shawen, and the other Level 3 Mages who had followed Monardo to seize an easy victory also had drastic changes in their expressions.
The intelligence they had received suggested that Benage, the newly ascended Legendary Mage, only had six monarchs under his command. Among them, one had been gifted to Black Rope, leaving only five monarchs left. Their plan was simple: follow Monardo, an experienced Legendary Mage, and just hold off those five monarchs while keeping the students and faculty of the 'Summoning Cottage' at bay.
