Chapter 195 - #195

Haido's massive mobile fortress rumbled through the rugged mountains of the Land of Bears, its steel frame grinding across cliffs like a slumbering beast awakened for war.

But Haido—the pint‑sized tyrant wrapped in regal clothes and a monocle—had much larger ambitions than simply traversing mountains. His true objective was the Gelel Stone, a source of legendary energy. With it, he dreamed of creating an unstoppable army.

Inside his fortress, glowing machinery hummed ominously. These devices could turn kidnapped children into combat‑ready androids—mindless, obedient, disposable. His entire army had been created this way.

Haido stood in the command chamber, admiring the jagged horizon through floor‑to‑ceiling windows as the fortress advanced. The metallic groan of moving walls echoed like the roar of a titan.

His top three lieutenants—Ranke, Kamira, and Fugai—entered hurriedly.

"Commander, we have an issue with Temujin," Ranke reported, worry edging his voice.

Haido spun around, monocle glinting. "What issue? What happened?"

Kamira answered, "He has been captured by the Sand Ninja."

Haido froze, stunned. "Captured? How in the world did he get captured?!" His voice cracked with disbelief.

The mobile fortress had traveled across the shinobi world without once being detained. It was absurd—unthinkable—that Temujin would get caught simply taking the warship out.

How this colossal fortress—over a hundred meters tall—had roamed freely without being noticed remained one of the world's strangest mysteries.

But Temujin was of royal blood. His fate was tied directly to opening the Gelel Mine.

Haido's expression hardened. "Turn the fortress around. We're heading to Sunagakure to rescue Temujin. This tiny desert village dares lay a hand on my people? They're practically begging for death!"

The fortress groaned as it rotated, heading toward the Land of Wind.

High above the deserts, Mufasa soared easily through the clouds, Temujin held by his collar like a kitten.

"That's Haido's mobile fortress?" Mufasa muttered.

Below, a monstrous steel structure marched across the sand. Its oddly flat shape made it look like an enormous upright book stomping through the dunes.

Temujin immediately tried to smooth things over. "Sir, it's all just a misunderstanding! Please return me. If Haido sees me missing, he might start a war."

The moment the fortress crossed into Wind territory, border scouts spotted it—naturally reporting the massive approaching threat to the Sand Village.

Mufasa chuckled. "You don't actually think that fortress is powerful enough to intimidate us, do you?"

Temujin nodded fearlessly. "Master Haido is extremely strong."

Mufasa smirked. "Kid, let me show you what real power looks like."

He relayed orders to the ground forces.

"Prepare to fire."

Gaara, Sasuke, and a squad of elite ninjas had already assembled along the fortress's predicted path.

Gaara raised his hand. "Tank battalion, ready artillery."

Massive cannon‑like devices—some the size of small houses—swiveled toward the fortress.

"Fire!"

Boom! Boom! BOOM!

Shells streaked through the sky, trailing smoke before hammering into the fortress's hull.

Each shell detonated in bursts of color—white ice, red flame, black mud, and swirling purple acid. Explosions bloomed like deadly fireworks.

Acid shells corroded deep holes into the metal, exposing hallways and control systems.

Mufasa sighed dramatically. "A fortress this huge doesn't even have automatic shields? It's basically a flying piñata."

Inside the fortress, the floor lurched violently.

Haido nearly tumbled from his chair. "What's happening?! Who attacked us?!"

He pointed at his lieutenants. "Ranke! Kamira! Fugai! Get out there and counterattack!"

The android troops deployed—but the Sand forces were already waiting.

A storm of missiles, electromagnetic blasts, and puppet‑launched projectiles filled the battlefield.

Ranke, Kamira, and Fugai barely dodged death, but most androids were shredded instantly.

The three survivors regrouped—activating their transformation cores.

Ranke's armor lit up violet as he shifted into a lightning‑charged ape‑warrior.

Kamira's turquoise armor transformed him into a vampiric creature with razor wings.

Fugai's blue armor twisted him into a towering werewolf.

Each had fused a Gelel Stone into their bodies, giving them fantastical abilities.

They prepared to lunge at the enemy—only for the ninja to attack first.

"Fire Release: Dragon Fire!"

A dozen blazing dragons streaked across the battlefield.

"Wind Release: Wind Bullet Barrage!"

Compressed wind bullets followed, fueling the flames into a furnace of destruction.

The incoming firestorm engulfed the battlefield, melting androids instantly.

The three commanders barely held on, charred armor sparking.

They raised their heads—just in time to see another wave of massive jutsu being prepared.

Their eyes widened.

"How… how do they have so much chakra?"

Behind each ninja were black chakra rods that connected them to a massive external chakra supply—turning them into relentless artillery machines.

The next blast incinerated all three lieutenants.

Inside the fortress, Haido stared blankly.

"Since when were ninjas this horrifying?! They're using ninjutsu like they're throwing pocket change!"

Panic overtook him.

"Retreat! Back to the mountains! The outside world is insane!"

But retreat was impossible.

Mufasa grinned as the fortress began backing up.

"Oh, you think you can leave now? Not happening."

A thunderous boom echoed from above.

Two massive puppet Gundams—piloted by Sasori and Kankuro—crashed down from the sky, landing beside the fortress.

They grabbed the mobile fortress from both sides, locking its movement completely.

Haido stared in horror at the Gundam's glowing eyes peering through his window.

"W‑What do I do now?!"

The puppets forced the fortress still as Mufasa descended with Temujin.

An electromagnetic scan swept the command room.

Mufasa thrust his hand forward.

A steel plate ripped off the wall, clattering aside.

Mufasa stepped inside, Temujin floating behind him.

He eyed the tiny warlord before him.

"So… you're the Haido bastard who thought attacking the Sand was a good idea?"

Haido didn't react at all to Mufasa's words.

He stood there completely dazed, like someone had cast a petrification jutsu on him.

'What in the shinobi world is even happening…?'

'My Knights have cutting‑edge tech, yet these guys outclass me?'

Forget everything else—those two towering Gundams outside, each larger than a mobile fortress, were enough to break his brain.

Mufasa glanced sideways at him.

'Did this guy actually go insane? That doesn't seem right…'

Temujin waved frantically. "Master! MASTER—snap out of it!"

Still no response.

Mufasa sighed. "Looks like he really lost it. Just kill him—save us all some oxygen."

At that moment, Haido shot up like a resurrected corpse.

"Don't kill me! Don't kill me—I'll talk! I'll confess everything!"

Mufasa chuckled. "Confess? Oh? And just what will you confess?"

Haido's eyes darted around like trapped prey.

He started rambling. "Actually—I'm a good person."

Mufasa nodded with a hum, amused.

"Please continue."

"My dream… my goal… is to build an ideal world without war or suffering! I ventured into the Land of Wind for the sake of my vision!"

Mufasa nearly groaned.

'Why do villains in this world always recycle the same speech?'

''World peace,' 'no suffering,' 'my great dream'—do they hand out this script at villain orientation?'

Isn't waking up every day painful? Isn't struggling to come up with story ideas painful? Isn't staring at tiny royalty payments painful?

Does peace magically erase all that?

Peace has suffered enough abuse—it's had enough excuses pinned on it.

Mufasa rolled his eyes.

"Come on. You think I'm some gullible kid? You think your so‑called ideal is impressive?"

"You insects want to build a utopia? Don't joke with me."

"Go to hell."

Lightning flickered at Mufasa's fingertips.

Haido panicked.

'Why isn't he moved!? Why isn't this working!?'

"Wait—wait! Don't kill me! I'll tell you a secret—a huge one!"

Lei Yaozu leaned in. "What secret?"

"A treasure! With it, you can control the entire ninja world!"

'Ah, classic world domination bait. Been there, done that.'

Mufasa snorted. "I'm not interested in conquering anything."

Haido looked ready to explode.

'Who isn't interested in conquering the world!? What kind of freak is this!?'

Lightning brightened around Mufasa's hand.

"Worthless things should be erased."

"Wait!! I'm valuable! I swear I'm valuable!"

"Oh?" Mufasa raised a brow. "What value?"

"I—I built the mobile fortresses and the naval warships! I can build more for you!"

Mufasa pointed lazily toward the massive Gundam outside.

"That toy is mine. You think I need your rust bucket?"

Haido swallowed. "I—I also have a system that transforms children into android soldiers! With it, you could instantly have a complete army!"

Mufasa paused.

A system like that… essentially something between the Orc forges of Lord of the Rings and the Zerg spawning pool in StarCraft.

He didn't answer Haido. Instead he turned to Temujin.

"See? All those children you captured… you weren't saving anyone. You were turning them into disposable war tools."

Temujin froze.

His entire life, he believed Haido had saved and educated him.

He thought he was protecting orphans… not helping manufacture artificial soldiers.

His beliefs cracked apart.

Mufasa suddenly smirked.

"Haido, you want to live?"

"I—I do!"

"Great. Then duel Temujin. Winner lives."

Temujin stiffened.

Haido didn't hesitate. He yanked out a blade and drove it straight into Temujin's side.

Before Temujin even processed it, he was stabbed.

Temujin stared at him in disbelief.

Haido's face twisted into a vicious sneer.

"Heh. You can die now."

Haido ripped the Gelel Stone from Temujin's belt, then shoved it into his mouth and swallowed it whole.

"Hahahaha!"

"I'm invincible now!"

"And I'll kill both of you!"

Haido's body twisted grotesquely—horns, claws, wings sprouting from his skin.

Power surged violently.

Mufasa watched with interest, stroking his chin.

"Now that is an amusing power."

Haido bared jagged teeth. "Mufasa! I'll kill you first!"

Mufasa lifted one hand.

Magnetic Field Confinement.

Haido's body jerked to a stop—bound by an invisible force. He struggled violently, but nothing moved.

Mufasa sighed. "You're overthinking this. You're just a mid‑tier boss. Letting you talk this long was already charity."

"You don't get to do anything else."

"Now—die."

He clenched his fist.

Haido's body compressed like flesh inside a blender.

A heartbeat later, he became an unrecognizable mass.

Mufasa waved casually.

The remaining chunks were pulverized.

The Gelel Stone dropped neatly into his hand.

It was inert.

'Not enough energy? No matter. I'll find the vein myself.'

Mufasa slung the unconscious Temujin over his shoulder.

"Drag the loot back."

After clearing the androids, Sasori and Kankuro piloted their Gundams home, each carrying a mobile fortress like oversized shopping bags.

Temujin was taken to the hospital.

Sand Village researchers immediately began studying the cyborg‑modification system—the most valuable thing salvaged.

Steam tech? Trash.

The results came quickly.

The newly appointed chief researcher—Kabuto Yakushi—adjusted his glasses as he reported.

"Sir, we've cracked the system."

Mufasa asked, "Is it useful?"

Kabuto shook his head. "If used exactly as designed? No."

Naturally.

Children were precious potential. Forcing them into mindless android shells was a waste.

Those androids were strong, sure—but only as disposable soldiers.

Kabuto continued. "However… the system itself has potential."

Mufasa's eyes narrowed. "Explain."

"If we change the raw material—the child—to something else, the results could be vastly different."

"We may be able to mass‑produce autonomous combat units."

Mufasa perked up.

The Sand Village's greatest weakness was its small population.

Robots and puppets all required human operators.

"What material?"

Kabuto's glasses glinted.

"Black Zetsu cells."
