Chapter 135 - Chapter 133 – A Trip to Eliminate Hidden Dangers!

A few days later, Magic Castle opened for business.

That tempting aroma of crispy fried chicken wafted out from inside the shop.

It made people instinctively swallow a mouthful of saliva.

What on earth are they selling in there? It smells amazing.

When the wizards gathered in front of the store and saw the food prices listed on the little paper slips in their hands, they were all stunned—it was ridiculously cheap.

There were all sorts of items listed, but most had the note: "Coming soon, please stay tuned."

For now, the store only sold three things: Magic Burger, Colonel's Chicken Nuggets, and Iced Lemonade.

On the grand opening day, the prices were just one-tenth of the original, increasing by a tenth each day: two-tenths on the second day, three-tenths on the third... and back to full price on the tenth day.

It was a simple marketing scheme—but highly effective.

Even if the full prices might seem a little expensive, at one-tenth? That's practically giving it away.

People just can't resist a bargain.

They rushed inside and began to snatch up the goods.

The staff at Magic Castle were all wizards, not Muggles.

When they saw the overwhelming crowd, they were startled—fortunately, they had been warned in advance.

They immediately asked customers to form a queue.

Harry wasn't about to allow unlimited purchases; otherwise, he'd go bankrupt in a day.

Each customer was limited to one of each item. If they wanted more, the price would increase: two items at two-tenths, three items at three-tenths, and so on.

Few people bought just one. Most of the day's customers were parents. A smaller portion of the line was made up of mischievous brats—these kids loved a crowd. Seeing a new store with such a buzz, they squeezed in. Once they realized that even the few bronze Knuts in their pockets were enough to buy such delicious-looking food, they didn't hesitate to queue up.

Very few people knew that these unremarkable children were actually Harry's true target customers.

Those at the front who received freshly fried burgers and nuggets immediately started eating.

The people still in line watched as someone bit into the golden-fried chicken skin and revealed the tender meat inside... after finishing, the eater even licked their greasy fingers.

He suddenly felt that only buying one portion had been a huge mistake. It was just too good. Especially at such a low price.

He turned to the person ahead in line and asked, "Can someone help me buy two more? I'll pay extra!"

All he got in response was a row of middle fingers.

"Weren't you the one just now munching happily in front of us? And now you want our help? Pfft…"

In the end, he had no choice but to hang his head and join the long line from the back again.

From morning until lights out, the queue never stopped.

Only after repeated explanations from the staff did the remaining customers finally leave reluctantly.

The Muggle world's fast food had officially begun corrupting the wizarding world.

According to a very unscientific survey conducted by a wizard association: from today until ten years later, when Magic Castle franchises had spread to every wizard-populated corner of the globe, the presence of fried and processed meats led to a 300% increase in fat wizards compared to the previous decade.

At every major magic school, the professors greeted their incoming first years with a sea of pudgy little children.

Today's grand opening was a huge success. Tomorrow would likely be just as crazy.

To be honest, when Harry decided to bring KFC into the magical world, his only worry wasn't if it would succeed—but how big the success would be. He never once considered failure.

Following the path of success means failure is unlikely.

Still, to help wizards accept Magic Castle more smoothly, Harry made a few changes to the menu. In addition to keeping the classic flavors like the Spicy Chicken Burger, Country Crispy Chicken Burger, and Golden Roasted Chicken Thigh Burger, he added several bizarre flavors that wizards tended to enjoy.

But all of that had little to do with Harry anymore—

Because he had left Britain yesterday—by airplane.

Harry had one huge, unresolved problem.

He was a Horcrux!

There was something very bad lodged in his mind—a fragment of Voldemort's soul!

He could ignore almost anything else—but not this.

Because it directly threatened his life.

Harry held no goodwill toward the thing in his head that didn't belong to him—especially something that might one day try to kill him. He couldn't exactly collect all seven pieces to summon Shenron.

He had long wanted to eliminate the soul fragment from his mind—but had no way to do so.

He'd sneaked into the Restricted Section of the library many times, stealing plenty of banned books, but none of them offered any help.

Ask Dumbledore? That was the first thing he ruled out.

Not because he didn't trust him—he just knew it wouldn't work. Otherwise, Dumbledore would've quietly resolved the issue when Harry was a child.

So, what other methods were there?

Let's look at how Harry handled it in the original canon: he took a Killing Curse from Voldemort. He should've died—but instead, Voldemort's soul fragment took the hit, saving him. That's how the final Horcrux was destroyed.

It was poetic—but not exactly a replicable strategy.

Harry couldn't just hope his luck would trigger that same outcome.

So was there truly no hope?

After much contemplation—

He thought: If magic exists, then doesn't China also have mysterious powers?

And if it did—could that be his chance?

So he set off for Lhasa, Tibet, the sacred land of Buddhism.

Harry had grown up in Britain, so upon arriving at an altitude of over 3,000 meters, he was hit by nausea and dizziness.

Too bad the famous "Heavenly Road" hadn't been completed yet—otherwise, his journey would've been much easier. As it was, he had to change vehicles multiple times.

Of course, Harry could have used a broomstick. After all, the Trace couldn't detect broom usage.

That would've been way faster.

But… imagine this scene: a stunningly handsome young man with emerald-green eyes, a charming smile, and graceful manners—striding down a street in China, carrying a super flashy… broom?

He'd look utterly out of his mind.

So, Harry obediently transferred between buses and trains.

Once he entered Tibet, he planned to ask the locals for directions and figure out how to get to the Potala Palace.

But unexpectedly, the moment he arrived in the Tibet Autonomous Region, he ran into a group of foreign tourists.

They chattered excitedly, waving their arms around—probably their first time in China.

Even seeing a street-sweeping auntie sent them into a frenzy of joy.

Most of them were young people.

Harry was briefly surprised—he hadn't expected to run into foreigners.

But then he thought again—it wasn't that odd.

Just last year, Hong Kong had been returned to China.

Britain's concession represented the rapid rise of China as an emerging nation.

People from all over the world were now curious about this newly reformed and open country.

Harry didn't pay them much attention—until he overheard them excitedly planning a trip to the Potala Palace…
