"So did I. You're always sweet and nice but I never knew you can be sharp-mouthed as well. And what's with the change in hair color and attitude? Why should I follow you if I don't want to? Who do you think you are?"
The moment I finished saying that, a thick silence enveloped us and it felt like I had turned completely deaf because I couldn't hear sounds and it puzzled me.
The hair on my skin suddenly rose as I looked around in confusion just to find out that everyone was frozen in place, including Jamie, except me.
When I looked back at Lanzon, I noticed that he remained standing where he was like he was frozen as well until he blinked as his eyes firmly stayed on me
It was in that moment his voice filled my mind by saying, 'Repeat yourself'
I nearly jumped in fright especially when his lips didn't move. It felt like it was my thoughts speaking to me but louder and clearer.
He took a step and then another and I panicked especially when no one was moving.
