A few days had passed since the materials were delivered to the Northern Palace. From there, they had been transferred to Origin's personal laboratory within the Heavenly Palace. Origin, true to his word, had not remained idle. Using the Orichalcum and Magisteel provided by Rain, he forged the satellite and the regional pillars with localized precision.
However, Origin knew the most difficult task was the power source. He required a broken star core that possessed immense internal energy. Teleporting beyond the boundaries of the Cardinal Planet, Origin began a search through the cosmos for a celestial body that met his requirements. He found many planets with suitable cores, but they were teeming with life—microscopic organisms that would take millions of years to evolve. Following his principles, Origin refused to destroy these nascent worlds, though he wondered briefly how long he could maintain such a code in the face of necessity.
Finally, after an extensive search, he located the remains of a collapsed star. Judging by its residual mass, it had been a thousand times larger than the sun.
"This will work," Origin muttered.
Using the sub-skill Law of Transcendence from his Ultimate Skill, he altered the star's size while ensuring its energy output remained unchanged. He stabilized and compressed the "Core of the Star" into a radiant, pulsating sphere of pure energy that glowed with a soft, ethereal light.
"Beautiful," he whispered, gazing at his prize.
With his absolute mastery over his Ultimate Skill, Omnipotence King En Sof, Origin felt a surge of pride. He knew that with the exception of the Almighty All-In-One and Sir Veldanava, no one in existence could match his capabilities.
Returning to the Heavenly Palace, Origin integrated the core into the World-Wide Monitoring System (WWMS). Within hours, the energy problem was solved. He then teleported across the Cardinal Planet, planting the regional pillars in the far corners of the world, burying them deep underground. Once activated, they began to hum, silently absorbing the ambient magicules of the environment. Finally, he ascended to the planet's orbit, placing the satellite in a constant path around the world. It was equipped with high-definition zoom capabilities that could peer into any kingdom or alleyway on the planet's surface.
Origin finally returned to Guy's palace in the North. "The work is done, Guy. I only need to install the main operating system so you can begin monitoring."
Guy grinned. "It seems my life is finally about to get easier."
Guy was truly relieved. Between monitoring human kingdoms, receiving reports from Rain and Misery, and ensuring that powerful monsters didn't slaughter the populace—all while dealing with Velzard's constant requests for a spar—his schedule had been exhausting. Origin's system promised to cut his workload in half.
The installation was completed in a newly designated room within the palace. The console was a masterpiece of futuristic technology blended seamlessly with high-tier magic.
"It's done," Origin said, wiping his hands as the system beeped to life. The screens flickered, displaying high-definition, real-time feeds of human kingdoms, distant forests, and a comprehensive world map that could be zoomed into any specific coordinate.
"Impressive," Guy said with a grin. "My work will be much more efficient now."
"Just don't break it, you red-haired bastard," Origin retorted. "It took a lot of effort to stabilize that star core. Now that my job is finished, I hope you'll actually do yours properly."
Guy's eyebrow arched. "I always do my job correctly, unlike a certain someone who is always lazing about."
Origin's eyebrow twitched, knowing exactly who Guy was referring to. Velzard chimed in, smiling, "Origin, your invention is truly amazing. It will be a great help to Guy."
Origin nodded at the compliment. The three shared a round of wine and juice before Origin said his goodbyes and teleported back to the Heavenly Palace.
Entering Veldanava's chambers, Origin found the Creator God relaxing as if he didn't have a care in the world. All these Creator Gods are the same, Origin thought. Always dumping the work on their subordinates while they enjoy their free time.
"Sir Veldanava, the World-Wide Monitoring System is complete," Origin announced.
"You've done well, Origin," Veldanava said, his tone shifting to something more serious. "But I have something to discuss. While the Demon Lord system is working—uniting humanity against Guy—I can feel hope beginning to fade. If this continues, the world will stagnate. I don't want that to happen, I have an idea for a counter-balance: the Hero System. It will serve as an evolution method for humans to gain the power they need to grow that will counter the Demon Lord."
Origin nodded, recognizing this as the establishment of the Hero System he remembered from the Original Light Novel that would be used as a counter balance against the Demon Lords. "It is indeed a good method," he agreed.
"I need the help of Ramiris to make this work," Veldanava added. "Origin, could you go and call her?"
Origin agreed readily; he had wanted to meet the Queen of Spirits for a long time. He recalled the memories of his past world, knowing how overpowered Ramiris truly was. Ramiris was born from the Great Holy Spirits and named by Veldanava, she possessed the intrinsic skill Small World and authority over all spirits.
He recalled rumours from his past world that she was also an avatar of the All-In-One, much like Veldanava who held the concept of Creation and Ivarage who held the concept of Destruction while she was believed to hold the concept of Balance. However now truly in this world, Origin understood that while only Veldanava and Ivarage were true avatars, Ramiris only represented the Great Holy Spirits themselves acting as their guardian I think. Perhaps that was why Veldanava granted her the right to be the Administrator of the World alongside Guy, who is the Mediator.
With these thoughts in mind, Origin left the Heavenly Palace, heading toward the Dwelling of Spirits connected to the Elemental Realm to find the powerful, Queen of Spirits Ramiris.
