A woman sat in a dark room with multiple screens on it, showcasing a scene of a man being helped up from the ground by a woman that was all too familiar to her. Her clothes consisted of basic jeans, a black shirt, and a white labcoat. She herself had short curly black hair to her chin, pale skin that shimmered blue in the monitor light, and dark azure eyes that were just barely the wrong shade of the woman she was pausing the screen on.
"See?" She said, pointing. "Look."
A woman leaned over her shoulder, squinting. Medium copper skin and long black hair, a dark feather twisted into one of the front strands. She squinted with identical blue eyes, staring at the woman, dressed in a torn fishnet shirt over a black tank top, dark jeans, and bare feet. She frowned.
"What am I looking at?" She asked.
"You," The lady in the labcoat answered, then paused. "But… not you."
The gothic woman rolled her eyes. "So she has wings. Who cares?"
"That's not all," She answered. "She has blue eyes, she's native, a vigilante, goth-!"
"Hun, you're getting too excited." The other answered, standing up and putting a hand on her hip. "Calm down. This has nothing to do with anything."
"Yes it does," She insisted, looking at her.
"Nuh-uh," The woman shook her head. "You're confused. The running theme in my line is the letter K. She's named Ryu – doesn't start with a K, does it?"
"But she's the spitting image of you," The doctor argued, pointing at the girl on the screen.
"Lucky her."
"Please take this seriously."
"No!" The woman shook her head vigorously. "It's bullshit. It's all bullshit! Just like Ben, it was a mistake – the guy just, y'know…" She waved a hand at the screen. "And now, that thing is there."
"This isn't a coincidence," The girl said.
"Yes, it is." The woman turned away. "Now just deal with it."
The doctor grit her teeth. "Like you?"
The woman stopped, sighing. "Like me." She answered quietly.
The woman simply walked away, leaving the doctor staring after her. Looking at the screen again of the woman there, she was indeed the spitting image of her. She bit her lip, frowning as she whispered,
"Who are you?"
