A coordinator stationed two tiers down glanced sideways without turning his shoulders. His eyes flicked once to Mina's console, then back to his own display. "Any beacon triggers?"
"Not yet," Mina replied. Her voice stayed professional, but her fingers hovered a little too close to the alert stack. "One is trending toward it. Heart rate is climbing fast."
Halden did not look up immediately. His hands continued moving across his interface, steady and practiced, aligning telemetry panels.
"Track it," he said. "If they hit threshold and freeze, the token will flag it. We don't pre-pull. Choice stays with the student."
Mina nodded, though her jaw tightened slightly. She understood the policy. Everyone in the hall did.
Autonomy mattered. Panic under observation mattered. But understanding something in briefing rooms was not the same as watching it unfold in real time.
