Akari's vision blurred as she slowly came to, her body aching, her mind dazed.
The metallic scent of blood filled her nostrils, thick and suffocating.
When her eyes adjusted, the sight before her wrenched the breath from her lungs.
Blood splattered the ground like a grotesque mural, painting the shattered remains of the academy in deep crimson. Bodies, heroes who had once stood proud, lay lifeless, their forms twisted in unnatural angles.
Her chest tightened, panic clawing its way up her throat.
She staggered to her feet, a shaky hand wiping the sticky warmth of blood from her cheek. "Hello?" she called, her voice hoarse, cracking with desperation. "Is anyone still alive?"
Only silence answered. A silence so profound it pressed against her like an unseen force, suffocating, merciless.
She took a step forward, her boots splashing in the pooled blood.
Her fingers curled into fists, her breathing ragged as she turned frantically, searching for any sign of movement.
Then, from the thick haze of smoke and destruction, a figure emerged.
White hair cascading down her back, clad in a sleek black bodysuit that hugged her frame like living shadow. A golden gauntlet, massive and ornate, encased her right hand, humming with ominous energy. Emilla.
The woman strode toward Akari with an air of unsettling calm, placing a firm but gentle hand on her shoulder. "It's alright," she murmured, her voice honeyed, yet laced with something unshakably sinister. "There's still a path for you. Join the Serial Six, and you won't have to suffer anymore. We'll make you the ultimate Villain."
For a moment, Akari simply stared, emotions warring within her confusion, anger, disbelief.
But then it hit her.
The academy, was attacked. These people had slaughtered the heroes, torn through the school like wolves in a den of lambs.
And now they had the audacity to offer her a place among them?
Flames erupted around her fists, a blinding inferno reflecting the rage in her heart. "Join you?" Her voice trembled with fury. "You butchered my people. You destroyed everything."
With a furious scream, she launched her fist forward, flames trailing like a comet. The punch connected, sending Emilla hurtling backward, her body slamming against the ruined ground with a resounding crash.
Emilla barely had a second to process before Akari was on her again, flames roaring to life around her entire body as she rocketed them both into the sky, blazing wings of fire carrying her higher. "I'll never forgive you!" she roared, fists cocked back, her entire form burning like a vengeful phoenix.
But Emilla only laughed. A chilling, unbothered laugh that sent shivers down Akari's spine. "You really are a fool," she mused before swinging her gauntlet with crushing force.
It smashed into Akari's side, sending her spiraling through the air.
Before Akari could recover, green energy projectiles shot toward her, streaking through the sky like falling stars.
Akari twisted midair, flames curling around her as she narrowly dodged.
Her hands shot forward, gathering an enormous swirling vortex of fire before unleashing it in a searing torrent.
Emilla raised a single hand, forming a translucent green barrier, effortlessly absorbing the attack.
Then, in one swift motion, the energy morphed, reshaping itself around her arm into an imposing shield. "Pathetic," she sneered before lunging.
Akari barely had time to react before the golden gauntlet collided with her face, the force sending her rocketing toward the ground.
The impact shattered the earth beneath her, rubble flying as she coughed up blood. Her body screamed in agony, but she refused to stay down.
Her vision swam as Emilla loomed over her, the massive gauntlet pressing against her throat. "I'd end you here," she mused, almost disappointed. "But the master has other plans for you."
Akari's eyes widened in horror just as Emilla's fist came down, darkness consuming her.
Meanwhile,
Tyuji stood firm, his palm pressed against the ground as ice began to spread like a creeping frost across the battlefield. He sneered, eyes flicking toward Isugami. "I don't care if you negate, create, or whatever the hell else. That doesn't mean shit to me."
The ice surged forward, swallowing the floor beneath Isugami's feet.
The moment his boots touched the frozen surface, he lost balance, slipping violently.
Seiji, already on the ground, barely had time to react before Takeru appeared in front of him, a wicked grin splitting his face. His fist cracked against Seiji's jaw, sending him skidding back.
Before he could follow up, Isugami materialized between them, summoning heavenly chains that descended like divine judgment.
But Takeru simply smirked.
[NOCLIP]
The chains phased straight through him, harmlessly striking the ground. In a flash, he was beside Tyuji once more.
Isugami wasted no time.
His fingers grazed Seiji's frozen limbs, the ice disintegrating instantly. The frozen battlefield vanished just as effortlessly.
Seiji sighed, brushing dust from his jacket. "Much appreciated," he muttered before rolling his neck.
Tyuji's voice boomed, his aura flaring. "Enough of this."
An ice dragon erupted behind him, its serpentine form coiling as he launched forward.
The beast surged alongside him, crashing into Isugami with devastating force, smashing through the walls of the academy and taking the battle outside.
Seiji stood frozen, his jaw slack. He turned to Takeru. "Guess that means it's just us now."
Takeru grinned, cracking his knuckles. "Yeah. And I'm about to ruin your life."
Seiji sighed, retrieving a fresh lollipop. "Wild strawberry," he mused, popping it into his mouth before assuming a stance. "Good flavor."
Takeru summoned his translucent gun, a crosshair appearing over Seiji in his vision. Without hesitation, he opened fire.
Bullets tore through the air, Seiji weaving between them with ridiculous precision, each shot narrowly missing.
Seiji countered with a swift kick, but Takeru was faster, dodging at the last second.
Takeru smirked. "Think you can predict everything?"
Seiji's brow furrowed.
[Infinite Ammo]
A relentless barrage of bullets erupted from the gun, filling the battlefield with lead.
Seiji's precognition flickered, struggling to keep up. "Are you insane?!" he barked, twisting his body to evade, but-
BANG!
A bullet buried itself in his arm.
Seiji hissed, gripping the wound as he staggered.
Takeru's grin widened. "Now let's see you keep up."
[REWRITE COMBAT RULES — REMOVE SPEED LIMIT]
Takeru's body blurred, lightning-fast, unshackled by human limitations. He appeared in front of Seiji instantly, the barrel of his gun pressed against his forehead.
"Game over."
But before he could pull the trigger-
BOOM!
An explosion rocked the battlefield, sending Takeru flying.
He groaned, rubbing his head, eyes snapping toward the source.
Two figures stood in the dust.
One, a tall man with a cigar between his lips, dressed in an elegant suit.
The other tall man with glasses, grinning as he held a boombox with a cannon attached, smoke still trailing from its barrel.
"That's my little brother you're messing with," Josh said, his grin widening as he slung the boombox over his shoulder. "Hope you're ready to die, dumbass."
