By the time Micah finally left the Ramsy mansion, the sky above the city had already deepened into a rich evening blue. The last traces of sunset lingered faintly along the horizon, streaking the clouds with fading gold and purple.
Before heading back to the penthouse, Micah made a quick stop in the kitchen. The Ramsy family chef had prepared an impressive spread that evening, as usual, and several dishes had been left untouched after dinner. Micah quietly packed a few containers himself.
Braised beef. Steamed vegetables. A portion of soup that still smelled warm and fragrant.
He carefully sealed each container and placed them neatly into a carry bag. His family didn't need to ask who the food was for. They watched as the young man refused to eat with them and cheerfully asked Driver Dan to drop him off.
The Ramsy family could only sigh in disbelief. Their pampered young master, famously a foodie, was actually holding back from eating without Clyde. The power of love!
