Chapter 293 - Chapter 293: Comrade Nagini! Welcome to the great revolution!

Nagini's snake head suddenly trembled.

Wade released his hand and slowly stepped back.

At the same time, the magic that had been restraining Nagini was lifted.

Nagini gradually came to her senses. She raised her head and looked down at the young Wade before her.

But the madness and ferocity from before were gone from her eyes.

She glanced around, even showing a hint of confusion…

"The treatment was successful. Although your blood curse hasn't been removed… do you want to try turning back into a human?" Wade reminded her.

The confusion in Nagini's eyes instantly froze.

She looked at her body in amazement, no longer bound by Transfiguration.

No restraints, yet she was still conscious. This… really worked!

Nagini closed her eyes and began to recall the feeling of transforming back then…

In the next second, Nagini's body started to shrink rapidly.

As she grew smaller, her snake body gradually coiled in on itself…

Then Wade Reynolds saw the snake head disappear. What appeared first was a head of jet-black long hair, followed by delicate features and pale shoulders…

Wait… where are your clothes?

While Wade was still stunned, he suddenly felt a set of clothes appear in his hands.

Huh? Where did these clothes come from? Ouch! Who hit my head? Senior?

At this moment, Nagini quietly looked at her own palms, her eyes gradually filling with tears.

"I… I've turned back… finally…"

Perhaps because she had not spoken for many years, Nagini's voice was a little hoarse.

"Yes, congratulations. You've turned back," Wade said.

Nagini raised her head and looked at Wade, then excitedly walked over and pulled him into a hug.

"Thank you! Wade! I thought… I thought I would be a snake for my entire life, until I died… but you helped me! You let me become human again! Thank you! Wade! I really…" Overwhelmed with emotion, Nagini could barely form coherent sentences, only repeating her gratitude again and again…

Wade could fully understand Nagini's feelings, but… in the current situation, even though Wade's physical age was only twelve, this was still very awkward to deal with.

After quite a while, Nagini finally let go of Wade Reynolds.

Wade rubbed his head, still a little dizzy from lack of air, then handed the clothes to her.

Nagini froze slightly when she saw them, then blushed and quietly took the outfit and put it on.

After being a snake for so long, she had forgotten all about clothes. And before, whenever she transformed, she always had clothes…

Thankfully, Wade was still just a child…

For a moment, the atmosphere turned a little awkward.

"Um… would you like something to eat? I mean… proper food, the kind people eat," Wade said, breaking the silence.

"Yes!" Even though Nagini was not particularly hungry, she agreed without hesitation.

How many years had it been since she had last eaten normal human food?

Only in the past year or two, after meeting Wade, had she been able to eat something even slightly normal.

But even then, it had only been simple boiled eggs…

Just enough to fill her stomach, without being able to taste anything at all.

"Let's go. We'll go to Tom's place for a meal," Wade Reynolds said with a smile.

In front of Tom's wooden cabin at Riddle Manor.

Tom frowned as he looked at the woman behind Wade, completely stunned for a moment.

His cabin might not be as well hidden as he imagined.

But Wade usually never brought strangers here.

Tom could not help recalling what had happened over the past few days.

Wade had suddenly left without a word, and then, after several days, returned with an Asian woman…

Ah, the Reynolds were one of the founding families of Canada, having come from Asia...

Suddenly, it dawned on Tom. This must be someone from Wade's family. Wade's family had come looking for him!

"Is this your relative?" Tom finally blurted out after a long pause.

Bang!

Wade knocked Tom on the head. "Relative, my foot! This is Nagini! Have you forgotten why I came to find you before?"

Tom clutched his head and stared at Nagini in shock. "You… you really succeeded?"

"Impressive, right? Your Brother Wade," Wade said proudly.

Tom looked at Nagini, at a loss for words.

Just a few days ago, this woman had still been a snake… the feeling was strangely unreal.

"Hello, Tom. Although we've known each other for a long time… this is our first proper meeting," Nagini said with a smile.

"Uh… nice to meet you…" Tom awkwardly reached out and shook her hand.

"Stop spacing out, Tom. This is the wizarding world. You've seen far stranger things than this," Wade Reynolds said. "Go get something to eat. She's just recovered and needs to build up her strength."

Tom was sharp. As soon as Wade mentioned food, he understood what he meant.

"We really should celebrate properly! And… you haven't eaten human food in a long time, have you? Don't worry, leave it to me!" Tom said, then hurried off.

Nagini watched Tom's retreating figure and could not help sighing again. "Wade, you're truly amazing…"

"Hm? You've already praised me plenty of times," Wade said helplessly.

"I've known you both for a very long time, so I understand better than anyone how you slowly changed Tom's personality," Nagini said, her eyes bright.

She had indeed known Wade Reynolds and Tom earlier than most people.

And after Wade treated her for the first time, she had stayed by his side ever since.

Most of the time, she only observed in silence and rarely spoke, even though she knew that both Tom and Wade could understand her.

So she knew very well how Tom, who had once had such a terrible personality, had slowly been shaped into the person he was now by Wade.

"I just don't want him to go down the wrong path," Wade said calmly.

At the beginning, Wade's intention in changing Tom had simply been for merit points.

But later, when Wade realized that Tom truly had the potential to change, much of that utilitarian mindset faded.

He even deliberately encouraged Tom to take Dumbledore as his role model, and then kept "pressuring" him.

Because Wade knew very well that you can't teach people just with words, but when life teaches them through experience, the lesson sticks.

And after all that "tempering," Tom now actually carried a trace of Dumbledore's influence.

Because of this, even Grindelwald had made a wrong judgment…

Wade and Nagini walked into the cabin.

Inside, the Fiendfyre in the fireplace was still burning.

The warmth made Nagini feel deeply at ease…

She had not truly felt her own body warmth like this for a very long time.

"What do you plan to do from now on?" Wade Reynolds pulled over a chair and sat down in front of the fireplace.

"My plans for the future?" Nagini was taken aback for a moment.

Having just turned back into a human, she was still immersed in overwhelming joy, so she had not really thought about what came next.

"Yes, your plans for the future," Wade said as he poured her a cup of hot tea. "Now that you've returned to being human, you don't need to rely on my Transfiguration to stay conscious anymore."

Nagini understood what Wade meant. Without needing his Transfiguration to remain aware, she no longer had to stay by his side all the time.

Where she would go from here was something she truly needed to think about.

After pondering for a while, Nagini finally said, "First, I think I'll go visit some old friends… I want to share this joy with them."

"Of course," Wade nodded.

"And after that…" Nagini lifted the teacup and took a sip.

Even though it was just ordinary tea, she savored the taste with clear delight.

After a moment, she spoke again. "You helped me, so I should properly repay you."

"Talking about repayment makes it sound too distant. We're friends, aren't we?" Wade said, taking a sip of his tea as well.

Tsk, that Tom… he's so rich now, yet he still won't even buy decent tea leaves.

"I've heard about those… ideals of yours," Nagini said suddenly. "I want to ask, do you truly believe in them?"

Wade smiled. "Do you think the world I described is beautiful?"

"Yes… compared to the present, it really is," Nagini nodded.

"Then do you think it can be achieved?" Wade asked again.

Nagini thought for a moment, then said, "I think the world you described isn't just empty fantasy. So yes, it's absolutely possible to achieve."

"So, if it's such a beautiful world with real hope of becoming reality… what reason would I have not to make it happen?" Wade said, spreading his hands.

Nagini nodded. "I believe in you, Wade… I know many people after knowing your goals can misunderstand you, but… I know you're a good person. You're absolutely not someone like Grindelwald!"

Wade laughed lightly. "Tom would definitely disagree with you. He doesn't even want to believe that I can cast the Patronus Charm."

"I actually think that Tom having such a misunderstanding about you isn't a bad thing. It's precisely because of this that he's changed so much, isn't it?" Nagini paused, then continued. "I want to help you, to do my part for your ideals… both to repay you, and to help bring that beautiful world into existence sooner. I hope this world will never again produce someone like Grindelwald…"

Wade Reynolds jumped to his feet excitedly. "Really? That's wonderful! The revolution needs your strength! Welcome aboard, Comrade Nagini!"

"Comrade?"

"Those who share the same ideals are comrades!"

At that moment, the door of the cabin opened. Tom walked in first, and behind him, many plates of food floated in on their own.

"What comrades?" Tom asked.

"Comrade Nagini has decided to join our great revolutionary cause, Comrade Riddle!"

Tom immediately put on an expression of complete inevitability. "I bloody knew it!"
