To put it bluntly, even if the current Revis were to face Edelweiss, she would likely be instantly defeated with a single strike.
After all, Eiji had already defeated Revis without even drawing his blade. The true Twin Wings Style was inhumanly powerful, far beyond what ordinary people could contend with.
Here, "ordinary people" referred to Revis, who had surpassed Level 7.
"Vacuum fracture…?"
Revis's eyes were filled with confusion.
Though Eiji had explained it carefully, she couldn't comprehend it at all.
Not just her—even Ais, standing not far away, looked equally bewildered.
Though she had some understanding of the Twin Wings Style… concepts like "Vacuum Fracture" were completely beyond her grasp.
To begin with, could a weapon like a sword really reach such fantastical heights?
Eiji took a step forward, stopping right in front of Revis.
The magic stone embedded in her chest pulsed with light, and tiny tendrils of flesh sprouted from the shattered remains of her limbs, stretching toward other parts of her body.
The sight was somewhat sanity-draining.
Eiji raised his sword—then abruptly thrust it downward.
The blade pierced straight through the colorful magic stone, shattering it into fragments.
Once the magic stone was destroyed, the squirming tendrils of flesh froze in place, and the vigorous life force vanished without a trace.
Revis's eyes dimmed instantly. Her body began losing color inch by inch, turning to black ash like monsters in the Dungeon, scattering into nothingness.
Her gaze remained fixed on Eiji the entire time.
As if she wanted to etch his image deep into her soul.
Until she disappeared completely.
"With this, it's finally over."
Eiji let out a sigh of relief.
At the very least, Ais wouldn't have to worry about being chased by that lunatic every day anymore.
"Eiji, Finn is telling us to retreat immediately!"
Just then, Ais suddenly approached.
In her hands, she held a deep-blue crystal and a crimson jewel.
"AAAAHHH—!!"
"Let me go! I don't want to die!"
"Lord Dionysus!"
"Miss Filvis—!!!"
"Lefiya, run!"
Chaotic voices spilled out from the Eye Crystal, interspersed with Lefiya's heart-wrenching screams.
Had the Green Flesh already engulfed the entire labyrinth?
Eiji's heart sank slightly.
Though they had crushed Evilus, this expedition could hardly be called a victory.
"Finn, what about you guys?"
Eiji took the Eye Crystal and spoke to Finn on the other end.
"...I don't know."
After a moment of silence, Finn let out a strained, bitter laugh.
"We barely managed to burn away the Green Flesh with magic swords and seal the gate, but whether we can actually escape… I honestly have no confidence."
The Green Flesh's eruption had caught everyone off guard.
No one could have prepared for such a tactic in advance.
Even with Finn's exceptional intellect, there was no way to anticipate such an unforeseen disaster.
Now, they could only hope that the adamantite gate and ultra-hard metal walls would hold against the Green Flesh's corrosion, turning the chamber itself into their sanctuary.
Moreover, the extent of the Green Flesh's spread and how long it would last remained unknown.
If it broke out of the labyrinth and flooded all of Orario, or persisted for days, they'd be in serious trouble—without any food supplies, they wouldn't last that long.
"I'll come save you!"
Eiji declared without hesitation.
"Ais, you go on ahead and escape!"
"No, I'm coming with you!"
Ais refused outright, her gaze resolute.
"I can't let you go alone... and everyone else is in danger too!"
She had meant to say she couldn't let him face the danger alone, but that would've sounded too indifferent toward their companions, so she quickly corrected herself.
"Alright."
After brief consideration, Eiji chose to comply.
"Besides, you might not even be able to escape alone now..."
He looked toward the exit.
With Revis's death, the rotting red flesh had regained its sickly green hue and was swelling once more.
Judging by its speed, the green flesh had likely spread further upward and deeper by now. If Ais tried to leave alone, she could easily get entangled and consumed by it.
"Use these! Ask for more when you're halfway through!"
In an instant, Eiji materialized several Crozzo Magic Swords.
Given the urgency, Ais didn't question how he'd produced them.
They swung the swords simultaneously, unleashing tremendous firepower that instantly incinerated the green flesh.
These magic swords are incredibly powerful!
Eiji marveled silently.
Thank goodness for that deal with Bell earlier. With their previous swords, the firepower wouldn't have been enough to clear a path!
Using the magic swords to forge ahead, the two pressed deeper into the labyrinth.
"I've completely lost my bearings!"
"Follow me!"
Eiji relied on his instincts.
The air was thick with flames.
No sooner was the green flesh burned to ashes than new growth emerged, making it impossible to eradicate completely.
Guided by his instincts and wielding the magic swords, Eiji soon located the staircase.
"Huh? What's that?"
Midway, Eiji suddenly paused.
"What is it?"
Ais caught up and followed his gaze.
"...Mr. Bete?"
Not far away.
Bete was scrambling about in disarray.
His body was stained with blood, and he was wreathed in pale white flames, his face deathly pale.
The white flames were terrifyingly potent—any green flesh that touched him turned instantly to black ash.
"Does Bete know magic?"
"Not that I've heard."
Ais shook her head.
She wasn't particularly close to Bete.
"Bete, over here!"
Eiji called out.
"You guys?"
Bete was momentarily stunned.
Though displeased to see Eiji, he hurried over nonetheless.
"You're running low on magic, right? Use these!"
Eiji tossed him two more magic swords.
"Don't tell me what to do!"
Bete glared at him angrily.
But valuing his life, he grudgingly accepted the swords and extinguished the white flames, his complexion improving slightly.
He'd never used this magic before, leaving his mana reserves pitifully low.
After killing Valletta, the Green Flesh had erupted, forcing him to rely on this magic for survival. The massive mana drain had convinced him he was done for—until Eiji saved him.
"Your body's being honest, huh?"
"Shut up!"
"Oh, by the way, I just reached Level 6 today! Keep working hard! Aim to catch up to me!"
"...Damn you!"
Bete fumed.
This bastard—couldn't he shut up for once?
Ais watched silently.
"Do you two get along well?"
She asked curiously.
"Are you blind?!"
Bete roared at her.
Snapping back to his senses, he realized what a foolish thing he had done, his face paling slightly.
Ais indeed gave him a displeased look and silently distanced herself from him.
Silver Wolf suffered a critical hit.
Heh heh heh.
Eiji shot him a silent mocking grin.
Sparks and lightning all the way.
By the time Eiji's face had gradually turned pale, the three of them had burned through all the Green Flesh along the way and finally arrived at the core area of the labyrinth.
