Chapter 5 - David Wilson and the warning

After a decade, I finally found him — the son of the one who saved my life, the one to whom I owe so much.

They call him Alex. It seems he survived, and his mother gave him to a human family.

I saw him fight and scream in the hospital… and I saw him again in the woods, battling an Advanced Alpha. I watched him and his human cousin running for their lives. The Alpha didn't notice me — he was too focused on them.

As a six-hundred-year-old vampire, my speed was more than enough to grab them both and escape to safety. But I waited. I wanted to see what Alex would do. Would he abandon his cousin and run away… or would he stand and fight against a beast that even vampires like me dare not challenge?

He didn't disappoint me.

What he did that night was brave indeed.

He truly is his father's son.

It was a dark night in Beacon Hills. The hospital was in chaos because of one boy. People thought he was crazy because of how violently he had acted — but in the end, the truth was clear: he and three others had been attacked by something that destroyed their car and left them deeply injured. The memory of that attack was burned into their minds, leaving them terrified.

Melissa was the most frightened that night. She had nearly lost her son, and her nephew wasn't doing any better. But after seeing Alex's reaction and hearing his words, she didn't care about the cause anymore — she knew one thing: her son and nephew needed her. Not her panic. Her strength.

So she joined the doctors and nurses fighting to save Scott's life.

After many serious surgeries, they succeeded. She succeeded. She saved her son's life and treated her nephew's injuries — and then she collapsed into sleep, completely exhausted.

The next morning, after that horrifying night, a man wearing sunglasses, black jeans, a black t-shirt, and a black jacket stood silently in Scott and Alex's hospital room.

He watched them sleep — especially Alex — and smiled.

"Finally, I found you," he murmured. "You look so much like your father at this age."

Just then, a nurse entered and froze.

"Excuse me, sir. Who are you? And how did you get in here?"

The man didn't answer.

"Sir, I need you to leave this room right now!" she said firmly.

He looked into her eyes and said quietly,

"Forget you ever saw me here. Go and do something else."

The nurse's expression went blank. She obeyed and left the room without another word.

That's when Alex stirred. He blinked awake, confused, then suddenly remembered what had happened before he lost consciousness.

"Damn, Stilinski!" he groaned.

"You know you can't really blame him, can you?"

Alex froze. A strange voice had spoken. He turned and saw a man dressed entirely in black — jacket, shirt, and sunglasses.

"Who the hell are you?" Alex demanded.

"Easy, kid. I come in peace."

"Okay, then who are you, and how did you get in here?"

"Who am I?" The man smirked. "I'm one of your allies… in the next war."

"War? What the hell are you talking about?"

"Listen to me, kid. I'm not going to waste my time explaining everything. You and your cousin have become part of something much bigger than you realize. You must prepare yourself — or you're going to die."

"Are you insane?" Alex shot back.

The man frowned, stepped closer to the bed, and slowly removed his sunglasses.

He had icy blue eyes, black hair, a strong jaw, and sharp, natural features. He locked eyes with Alex and said,

"My name is David Wilson — and I am a vampire."

Before Alex could react, David's eyes changed — his sclera turned black, the whites of his eyes glowed red like blood, dark veins spread beneath his eyes, and long fangs slid from his mouth. He hissed — a chilling, animal sound.

Alex screamed, "Help! Anyone! Help!!"

David shook his head. "Don't bother. I've compelled everyone in this hospital — patients, doctors, nurses — to ignore this room. No one can hear you."

"What do you want from me?!" Alex shouted.

"I came to warn you. You and your cousin are about to become werewolves. You'll be part of something far greater than you think. You must be ready… or you'll die."

Alex stared at him in disbelief. "What do you mean Scott and I are going to turn into werewolves?"

"The creature that attacked you was an Alpha werewolf. When you're bitten by an Alpha, there are only two possibilities: death… or becoming one of his kind."

David turned to leave, then paused.

"Oh — and by the way, I healed your friend. The Alpha's bite can't be fully cured, but he'll be able to walk and breathe normally now. Consider it a gesture of goodwill.

And don't tell anyone about the monster story again. I've already compelled them to believe you were attacked by a bear in the forest. The supernatural world must remain secret from humans. Remember that — and trust no one. From now on, anyone could be an enemy."

With that, David vanished — as if he had never been there. The window creaked open, letting in a gust of cold wind. Alex realized it hadn't been a dream.

"What the hell just happened? What's wrong with this town? First, some monster destroys a car and hunts us… now a freaking vampire warns me about a war and tells me I'll never be human again?!"

Alex sat in shock, his mind racing. He had been in Beacon Hills for one day — and already he been through a living nightmare.

"How am I supposed to survive an entire semester here?" he muttered. "I need to get out of this town… before I become someone's next meal."

What am i gonna do??. Alex asked himself with despair and fear.

But the real question is:

If David had compelled everyone in the hospital to stay away, why did the nurse enter the room in the first place?

Nurse's Point of View

I've been watching everything in this town — from Laura Hill's arrival to her death at the hands of her uncel Peter Hale, to Derek Hale's return to investigate his sister's disappearance, to the Argents' arrival hunting werewolves.

I saw the Alpha's attack on the two young men… and the arrival of a vampire named David, who covered the Alpha's tracks to avoid suspicion.

I entered the room of the bitten boys, pretending to be a nurse. I needed to see if they would die… or transform into evolved werewolves. I had to report every change to my master.

When I found the vampire named David there, he tried to compell me to leave. I obeyed — but I stayed close, listening as he warned the boy.

Why is he doing this? Why protect the Alpha's victims? What's his connection to that boy?

Something is off. And the Malrau Pack is coming to Beacon Hills, as expected. I must call my master and request reinforcements — vampires, humans, maybe even a witch or two.

Lucien Cassel's Point of View

Ciri, the vampire spy I placed in Beacon Hills, reports new developments about the Nemeton Tree and the rise of evolved werewolves. She tells me the Malrau Pack has escaped to Beacon Hills — just as I predicted.

Perfect.

I tell her reinforcements will arrive soon, including two of my finest witches. I hang up the phone and smile, staring out the window of my skyscraper.

"Klaus Mikaelson…" I whisper. "Just wait a few years. I'll have my revenge on you and your brother Elijah. I'll destroy your entire family and take everything you own."

With the Malrau Pack's poison, I'll control three of the seven original werewolf bloodlines. Then Lucien Cassel will rise — and the age of the Mikaelsons will fall.

I will bring the fall of the Mikaelsons.
