The glass doors slid open with a soft sound, and the four of us finally stepped out into the open air. It was already night. Only a few cars moved slowly along the quiet road in front of the mall. The streetlights cast a pale yellow glow on the pavement, and the city felt much calmer than earlier.
"Phaahhh…" I breathed out, and a small cloud of cold air came from my mouth. "Ahh… it's so cold now," I said, holding myself by the shoulders and rubbing them gently with both hands.
The temperature had dropped a lot. The air felt sharp against my skin. Wearing a short mini skirt and a dress with open cleavage made the cold even harder to ignore. A small shiver ran through my arms.
"Here… wear this," Ezra said quietly. He took off his long black coat-like shirt and gently wrapped it around my shoulders and arms. The fabric still held his body warmth and smelled faintly like him.
