The duchess turned to look at her soldiers and ordered them to leave that she would find her way to meet the prince.
They all bowed their heads before turning around to leave.
In the royal palace,
King Henry had just finished spending the night with his second Queen and left her room. He wanted to be in his private chamber and think of a way to make either Oliver or Lucas King as he had already disinherited his son from being a crown Prince. That was his punishment and it wouldn't make any sense that Levi become king when he retires. Right?
Even though he never liked his son Lucas from the beginning, at least his blood was still running in his veins right? So it was only fair to the public to either choose between Oliver and Lucas to become kings. Also Levi wasn't even with his wife yet to birth another heir. The only person with a wife was Lucas. So many thoughts ran through his head as he walked quietly on the corridor, his hands folded behind him.
At the same time,Levi paid another maid to make sure the royal grandma and Queen mother should be deeply asleep as he had a feeling that those two old women will be a tumbling block to his plan. Once he paid them, he had a sinister smile on his lips before he made his way to the King's chamber.
Reaching the King's chamber,
Levi went into his room and was pleasantly surprised to see that the king wasn't available. He had a scowl on his face as he went to check the bathroom but no sign of the king was there.
"I will just wait for you my dear father. I think it's time for you to say goodbye to the world. " He said to himself as he went to sit on the bed to wait for the king.
Lucas had a blank expression on his face when he heard what Mason just told him. It wasn't the duke and duchess that came together, it was only the duchess and the reason why she had come was to let him know about the wolves invading the vampire's lore and also to confirm something about his wife. Even though he knew about it,he couldn't help but think about what the vampire prophetess had said about his wife being the end of all vampires.
"Make sure not to let them in to the castle". Lucas ordered coldly. While his men bowed his head in unison before they left.
Lucas also thought about what Catherine had told him concerning a mysterious figure coming to visit her and claiming to be the devil and him, telling her to consumate their marriage to unlock her powers. What powers exactly does his wife have apart from ending the vampires race. He also remembered how his wife had touched that water and the water became ocean like water that created a land. This was strange.
He had to visit his in-laws to know about Catherine childhood especially when his wife told him about the story of her birth and maybe he could find the witch. He thought with a sigh before going back to his room. He knew tonight was the night for them to finally consummate their marriage so he could know for sure if truly her abilities lies within her. With that thought in mind, he walked towards his room. He paid close attention to her heartbeat in the room and was greatly pleased that she was feeling as excited as nervous as him.
Though some days ago, he had almost gotten intimate with one of his maids because of her and ended up finding out that the maid was sent on a mission.
He would have to pay the dear maid a visit. First, to create trust within them, he must tell Catherine what he did when she wasn't around and how mere presence alone affects him to the core. He thought before pushing the door open to go inside to meet his beloved wife. The wife whom he had fallen in love with.
Meanwhile, King Henry stopped walking before he turned around to look behind him as though he had sensed a presence but saw no one. That was strange. He had heard clicking footsteps and when he turned, he saw no one. Pretty strange! He mused before he continued walking to his room. Unknown to him, the devil has concealed his presence and hoped that his son and wife are able to do it. He couldn't wait to get back his once lost family. His cold pale ice blue eyes looked colder than usual.
"Time to welcome a new visitor in hell". He muttered before vanishing into thin air.
King Henry entered his room and closed the door behind him. Just as he took two steps towards his bed, he heard his son's cold and menacing voice.
"Father, how would you like to die?"
King Henry frowned deeply and stared at his son who was slowly emerging from behind the darkness.
"What the hell are you doing in here ? " He asked in a cold and menacing tone, but Levi was unmoved by his father's coldness.
"Don't worry father, it will be quick and and the dearest son, Lucas whom you want to give the the crown to will be busy facing the law when he is accused of treason and killing the king. So dad, cut the crap and tell me how you want to die?" Levi said heartlessly as he walked towards his father who was already sensing the danger in front of him.
King Henry tried to turn away and leave.
"Guards!"he called out, but no response.
"When if you call them, they can't hear you. Once you are out of the earth, greet my dearest sweet wife for me. " He said and without thinking twice, he leaped so high and plunged rte dagger right into the heart of the king.
The King's eyes widened in fear and shock as he hadn't expected his son to kill him. He growled as his body began to combust before he fell lifelessly to the ground. The dagger was stuck deep into his heart.
